Question about Xerox Phaser 7300DN Laser Printer

Jams when duplexing

Every time I try to duplex with the Phaser, I get a jam under the Fuser. We've replaced the fuser, but the problem persists. Any ideas.  We had been duplexing with no problem.

There is a set of clutches in on the upper back side of the right side door.
The inverter clutch tends to go bad on that cluster.
But if you are replacing one may as well do both. They are electromechinical clutches.

Please ensure the power connector wires for the fuser are routed properly so as not to rub on the aluminum bar that is used during the duplex function.

I have an hp 4300 with a 13.12.00 error when the duplexer is installed

Here is a copy of the 13.12 error troubleshooting steps from the service manual.

1. Press the HELP ( ) button for
detailed information about
clearing the jam.
2. Press the UP ARROW( )
button and the
DOWN ARROW ( ) button to
step through the instructions.
3. Check the paper width and
fuser delivery sensors
(PS106, PS108) and verify
that the sensor arms move
freely. (See "Location of
printer switches and sensors"
on page 336.)
4. Check the inside of the
duplexer for scraps of media
that might have torn off when
a jam was cleared.
5. Replace the media-size
sensor (PS106) and fuser.
See "Location of printer
switches and sensors" on
page 336 and "Fuser" on
page 162.

My HP 3035 often get jam inside duplexer if copy or print in duplex mode. I have change the formater, ECU, Fuser, but have not get result. Will anyone give me advice please?

We went through this with a client and ate up 20 hours of diagnostics time. It started when we installed a new fuser under the HP service advisory regarding worn fuser bushings. We tried another new fuser and had the same issue. Eventually we rebuilt the old fuser with parts from the new one and it worked, it seems that the heating elements on some fusers had issues. HP tech support, including engineering support (level 2 and 3 escalations) was not able to solve this problem.

Hi, Hope you can help, A CP 6015 jams on dupex 2nd side on entrance to fuser,it looks like something to do with pressure roller release mechanisum as when released an actuator moves across fuser entrance,...

The document I was thinking of referred to fuser wrap jams. I did some quick checking of duplex jams though and this might give you some guidance to check for.

These errors refer to jams when repicking to print side 2.

Cause Solution The spring of the duplexing media-repickup-sensor lever is unhooked Check the spring and place it in the correct position. The duplexing media-repickup-sensor lever is damaged Replace the duplexing feed unit. Poor contact of the duplexing media-repickup-sensor connector Reconnect the connectors of the duplexing media-repickup sensor (J1945), intermediate (J1909, J1950) and the DC controller PCA (J4105). The duplexing media-repickup sensor is defective Check the duplexing media-repickup sensor by the sensor monitor mode. If the sensor is defective, replace the duplexing feed unit. Poor contact of the duplexing repickup-motor connector Reconnect the connectors of the duplexing repickup motor (J1771), intermediate (J1908, J1939, J1941) and the duplexing driver PCA (J4104). The duplexing repickup motor is defective Replace the duplexing feed unit.
