Try to check voltage input. Because when we increases the bass or volume it takes more power to modulate.. this might solve your issue..

Center channel goes off and will not come on until i tap on amp

There are bad solder connections on the circuit board inside the receiver, if you are handy with a soldering iron remove the top part of the case and trace the center channel speaker wires to the board, this will isolate the problem in the general area, chances are it is the center channel ic that need to be retouched.

Our Panasonic PT-50LC14 speakers keep cutting out. They work for a time, maybe 10 -15 minutes, then they cut out. Any ideas?

Did you ever fix this problem? I am having the same issue. I pulled the speakers and checked all the connections which seem fine. Funny thing is that when they do cut out, if I tap the side of the speaker panel that particular side will come back on as if it is a loose connection.

I have just bought a used Marshall VS65R. When I

Make sure that when the audio from the speaker cuts, the headphones are still working (try it several times). If this is correct the problem isn't at the preamp or driver tubes. Try to locate the wire that is connecting the speaker with the amplifier. There must be a bad connection at this cable or at the speaker's coil itself. Try hiting with a solid tool (the back of a screwdriver for example) the parts and the connections (not the tubes, just the mountings) while the amplifier is working in order to locate a loosing contact. Once you find it use a soldering gun to fix the connection.

In case of a problem or clarification, don't hesitate to post.

The amps in the receiver turn off and on all the time. The center channel rarely works, and the left & right channels turn off & on every 10-15 minutes as well as the subwoofer output. Is there...

loose connections, issues. disconnect center and front speakers from this receiver. turn on with rear and subwoofer. horrible sound but the point is it will eliminate the speaker issues and confirm loose connection if the receiver continues to behave the way you described.I have repaired a few for loose connections.

Sony center speaker and rear speakers don't work all the time

try using another speaker for the center channel and the left speaker, also watch your ohm load, most of the want a 4 ohm load. try to narrow it down to see if it is the speaker or the amp.

Center channel drops once unit warms up

You don't have an external amlifuer, do you? You could hook the pre-amp out for the center channel to an external amp and connect the speaker to the amp. That way you could determine if it is the center channel output or the internal amp. Either way you probably need to get it serviced.
