Thread: Kenmore dishwasher lights flashing: "Hi Temp" & "Heat Dry" ... A few months ago, we had a brief power outage and the next morning, noticed the "Hi Temp" and "Heat Dry" lights were flashing. ... Here's the key sequence(s) to use, depending on how your keys are labeled:
Heated Dry - Normal - Heated Dry - Normal; or
High Temp - Air Dry - High Temp - Air Dry; or
Hi Temp Scrub, Energy Saver Dry, Hi Temp Scrub, Energy Saver Dry; or
High Temp Wash, Heated Dry, High Temp Wash, Heated Dry.

This will start the diagnostic cycle. Let the dishwasher run for a few minutes, and then press Cancel to stop the dioagnostic cycle and clear the error. Please note, that this clears the error, but if you haven't found the cause (water-not-heating error), the condition will come right back the next time you run the dishwasher.

Press "high temp wash, heated dry, High temp wash, heated dry, high temp wash, heated dry, high temp wash, heated dry, high temp wash"

All the lights will go solid at which point you press cancel to reset the board.

**NOTE** if you don't have a "heated dry" button, use the "air dry" or "energy saver dry" button instead.

change out the rollers and belt pulley if they don't move freely,does the motor spin freely?if not the motor is also bad.

there is a set screw or a pin at the blower fan side that is locked to the shaft. try to unscrew it usually using a small allen key. if it is removed then you can now pull out the fan.

Check the front control panel for a AIR DRY / HEAT DRY switch. Perhaps the switch is in the AIR DRY position. If so and you really want to HEAT DRY your dishes, set the switch for HEAT DRY.
Second, it is not a bad thing to let your dishes AIR DRY. It saves money! Just open the Dish Washer door after the last rinse cycle has finished and let the dishes AIR DRY manually. In a hour or so they can usually be put away.
You can also check for the heating element.Your dishwasher has an electrical heating element that helps to dry the dishes. If the element is burned out, the dishes won't dry properly, and you need to replace the element. Many high-priced dishwashers have a small fan that blows air or heated air into the dishwasher to speed up the drying process. If the fan is defective, you need to replace it.

Hope that work`s. Keep in mind there is a underlying problem to cause the "1" to appear in the display repeatedly, so this is only a short term cheat.

Sounds like the flame detector sensor may have failed, but you really need a multimeter to test the components in the circuit to make sure you replace the right partt

try unplug and plug back in first let it reset and if that dont work, check thermal fuse may be blown..the fuse located in the back next to the fan in the housing. If fuse blown unit not work, if you go to www.appliancepartspros.com choose your model and it will give diagram of location termal fuse. check fuse first make sure is blown before you order it.

Could be front slides that act like a bearing to support front of drum or rollor bears in rear of drum.. wheels that supposrt drum in back
