Question about Canon imageRUNNER C3220 Color Copier
Canon tells me turn off main switch and turn back on again. Gives me this code. Earlier we were having paper jam issues and I have since replaced the fuser because it was toast, but it still will not let me back into the printer.
Interesting, you had a fuser handy. That is exceptional. I wish I had a key operator as handy as you. Now to the point. Since you had a fuser code you will need to go into service mode to reset this error. I know the copier said turn off and turn on and blah blah. I have no idea why they do that when its a known fact that a fuser code(for safety reasons) cannot be reset by the customer. However if you go into service mode, typically used by us toner monkeys, the code can be reset. Here is what you need to do. Press "additional fonctions" on the op panel then press both numbers 2&8 at the same time and then press additional functions again.You will see a new and wonderful screen called service mode. The topblock of several will say copier. Press copier. At the top will be several tabs and one will say "FUNCTION". Press it. At about the center of the screen you will see "CLEAR". Press clear. Now you will see a menu which includes "ERR". Press err and then in the lower right corner press "OK". This will indeed reset the copier and allow the device to forget its past problems and take a fresh look at the start-up process. Once you have pressed ERR and then "OK".... power the copier off by the power switch located at the far rear portion of the right panel. Power it back up in a few seconds and if the new fuser you put in is good, you will be back in copier heaven.TADA!!!! Good Job!
