Re: Planar DS-15 Outside repair person
In order to provide a few pointers, you need to indicate where these units will come from. Do you plan on shipping out for repair or are you looking for a local repair shop? Where are you?

Well aside from jacking the machine up and putting another in its place, the only thing left is the electronic thermometer/thermostat that should be sensing the ice and not the outside temperature. By the way, if you spend more than the machine is worth think about another one.

When you transfer a call from the outside to an outside place, it will use two external lines for the duration of the call. Sounds like there the PBX is not configured for "disconnect supervision," (DS) meaning that it can't detect when the call finished on either side, so it holds those lines in use. Even if you set DS up on the PBX, the telephone company be sure the lines are
programmed for COD (clear on disconnect).
If you do external transfers, you need to set up disconnect supervision on the PBX and COD from the telephone company.
This will probably involve the services of a professional, unless you are comfortable navigating the internal menus of the PBX.
You can clear the lines by disconnecting the amphenol connector for the outside lines for a few seconds and reconnecting it (which will disconnect all outbound calls) or by rebooting the PBX.
It sounds like maybe the fan is not coming on outside but the compressor is running and just tripping on internal heat protection .... Please turn power off to the outside unit and let cool for 15 minutes then remove electrical compartment cover and see if the contactor is pulled in.. if its pulled in then look at the capacitor that is usually sulver and round with wire terminals on top.. it should be flat on top and not rounded.. if its rounded then replace it by ordering part online or contacting locar electrical parts company or if none of this looks to be the problem please contact a local a/c repair company.
You either need to buy a broken Psion with a good keyboard and replace the keyboard in your machine yourself. Look on Ebay.
The other way would be to trade-in your machine with one of the resellers that deal with Psion machines.
Problem made worse if you live outside the UK.
one possible problem the lid swicth might have broken but if you hear a moter noise when it trying to spin the swictch is ok you can verify
if washing machine agitates during wash cycle
if no agitation newer design has a drive coupling between moter and transmission lean machine back
you will find debries center of machine about 8 inches back usually black rubber the drive coupling
has 3 pins on each outside peice that fit into the center bushing lean machine back have second person for safety unplug machine to change drive coupling there are two clips that hold pump to top of moter remove clips slide pump off shaft remove two screws from top of pump clips unplug wiring harness
undue clips remove moter drive coupling peices can be remove by pulling or can use large flat blade and work from oposites sides till plastic parts come off
reassembly place outside parts one on transmission one on moter install center part on transmission side
line up pins from moter to line up with 3 holes in center part normally top clip i install first so gravity assist with install of bottom clip reinstall screws plug in harness line up pump with moter shaft and reinstall clips run check if no noise from moter when lid is closed then lid switch might be bad the new style of washer is front serviceable there are two screws bottom outside corners of panel remove
light pressure pull panel forward then lift is hinged at
top back roll back there are two brass clips catch front of clip with flat blade screw driver and move top of handle toward back of machine clip will pop off wiring for lid switch on top of case needs to be unplugged outside case will tilt toward you then can be lifted off alignment tabs at bottom front there are two screws where lid switch is held to top of case can be seen when case is removed good luck ron
There are at least 3 suspension points around the outside of the outer drum that hold up the entire mechanism. They each have a suspension spring plus some form of motion damper. One or more may have been bent, broken, or displaced. It should be up to the moving person(s)/(company) to repair it. If a friend did the moving, I guess you are on your own. If you can open the top or remove a back panel, maybe you can see what is wrong and fix it yourself. Once you can see the mechanism, shake the internals back and forth--the whole assembly should move side to side in different directions, yet with increased friction. If one point doesn't seem free, look at it carefully.
