Question about Denon DHT500SD System

1 Answer

Can anyone help to explain why?

Dear Abrsvcs, Thank you very much for your help. My amplifier is made of Denon, and the model is: PMA350. It has been working very well for me but when I tried to turn on the music it suddenly had no sound.

I checked around briefly but nothing seemed wrong. Would you be able to provide me some instructions that I can try to fix the problem?

Many thanks.

Cheers
Jane

The output section has a problem and the amp is in "protect" mode. This will most likely require the replacing of the output transistors and a few other parts. Figure about $20 in parts plus your local labor charge.

My Denon Home Thtre SysDHT-390 is not working, dead.plz arrange a tecnician visit on my addrs.suggest me what can i do...???

Hello. You will have to be more specific about your issue. Is it not turning on, no sound...? I'm sorry, but FixYa does not have any technicians to send to you. There is little chance of a technician fixing an issue like this in your home. The ONLY thing you can try is a factory reset; a procedure that you will find in your owner's manual. If that doesn't resolve your issue, you may have DC Offset, which means a damaged amplifier.

Please visit my website, AUDIOSERVICECLINIC.COM and contact me directly through the website regarding this issue.

Thank you,

Dave

Denon dn-x300

Greetings
can you explain more?
or just the sliding fader is not working?
if the sliding fader is not working u need to change the sliding part
REF: SLIDE VR(RA45D2-211-15D1-R0B50K)
its 50K Ohm slider.
sometimes the material inside the slider ends fast due to activity.
hope this helps

Every time I switch on my denon dht 500 sd it turns on then the word protected comes on then shuts off

My guess is you have uninsulated speaker wires touching, probably in the back of the receiver. If speaker wires touch (short) like that, it should put the system into protect mode to keep from blowing the amplifier section. Good luck!

I dont undestand what it means watts

u dont need to because all most all retailers lie about power outputs of their products for Example. If a product says 180W it cant actually physiclly do this its very hard to explain but 180W is the Equivalent to 16W RMS so when u see these amplifiers that say a 1000W take no notice of them coz there **** fake's that can Probably only hold about 2W RMS. i dont get all of it and i did a sound Engineering course Basically in the future i advise you to only buy something that says the RMS Wattage eg. Type of brands that will be accurate watts are A brand called MISSION very good at average price's, second TEAC,QUAD,maybe DENON but not too sure on them, but all these brands make seriously powerfull amplifiers, speakers, subwoofers, ect hope this helps you my friend

My denon adv 500sd wont read the discs can anyone help

If your unit has some time on it it probably has a dirty lense on the laser assembly. This isn't difficult to clean but you must exercise care not to damage any components of the laser assembly. Unplug the unit. Remove the top cover. If the disc drive has a cover, remove it. You should see the lense, looks like a fish eye, looking up at you. The lense is monted on a set of springs and will move around as you clean it. This is normal but do not apply anymore pressure than necessary. The alcohol will do the work loosening the dirt. Using 200 proof grain alcohol, available from any electronic parts supplier (www.mcmelectronic.com) and commercial grade, lint free, cotton swabs, also available at MCM, moisten swab and gently touch the lense rotating the swab head. Use a dry swab after the wet one. Blow dry the assembly with canned air, also available at MCM. Reassemble unit and you should have a working player. If you still are not reading discs you could have a defective or weak laser assembly. This would have to be replaced with a new unit. I hope this has helped you. Let me know if you need any more assistance.

Denon dht500sd surround system

You need to check your speaker wire connections at the speakers and at the amplifier. You must have a positve and negative speaker wires touching. If you check them and still same result you need to unhook all speakers from amp and speakers and hook up one speaker at a time to see if you get message for each speaker and when you finally do you will know which speaker wire and speaker is giving you a problem.
