Your question is confused. : Whad you you mean by "Can't open te Message"? If it can't boot aster bios setup probably you have a problem with bootup files. Try an application which might help yo to repair boot issues. WinPE is graeat because let's toy access theough a CD residen windowws. Thy to get one from http://www.uploadable.ch/file/mKD6atNTMRGF/
and follow steps
During the boot process you will see on the screen to press a certain key to enter setup Press and hold that key during the boot up process to enter BIOS after you make any changes in BIOS press Esc then press the F10 button save to cmos to restart cmos is located in BIOS hope this helps
Well it depends on the Operating System you have in your PC. You can try tapping F1 key (keep pressing the key up and down as soon as you start the computer) on the top of the keyboard if it is an XP computer and if it is Vista or Windows 7 then similarly keepi tapping F10. You sure will reach the bios screen. If this does not work then open the right side of the computer and take all the memory chip out (RAM) and then put it back in and then try the same step. If that does not help then take all the Memory chips out again and start the PC , if there is a beep noise then ok or if it is silent then the motherboard needs to be repauired. All the best !!!
Open Computer and take out oversized watch battery. Count to ten and put it back in. Close computer - Don't touch anything else!! Start computer. Should let you reset from there.
its a very common hardware fault with these laptops, can you open setup or bios? that is opened right when the power is turned on the and screen says press F2 to enter bios or setup, if you can't enter bios then you have a faulty motherboard, usb ports don't work either? (usb keyboard and mouse don't work?)
See if you can access the bios setup - usually F1 or F2 key right at the start up and see if that is where the password issue is. If so, try this: Tech FAQ Forum members have reported that they were able to remove their Acer BIOS passwords by simply opening their notebooks and removing the CMOS batteries for 30 minutes.
Once your BIOS password is removed, you will need to press the
<F2> key during POST (Power On Self Test) to enter the Acer BIOS
setup.
no need to go into the BIOS setup for such simple and easy task, go to start -> right click My computer -> Properties -> Advanced -> Start up and Recovery ->Settings -> now u can choose the default os and time out also u can edit the boot.ini manually by clicking edit
I have set the password for administrator when i entered the bios set up. you can change its setting but not the configuration unless you've entered the password. you can't change the password with a new one if you cant enter the old password. Next time dont forget your password because laptops has its security even when stolen you cant open its bios set up if its protected by password. CMOS battery is in the mother board. You need a service technician to open your laptop to reset the bios setup battery.
