Question about IBM ThinkPad R52 Notebook
i have IBM R52 laptop and i was able to use both shift keys properly, but by mistake i pressed few buttons and both the shift keys are not working now.
I am sure that keys are ok w.r.t. hardware point of view.
Could you please suggest how can i activate the shift key.
I had the same problem on my acer travelmate 4001lci. I took it to the company and they told me that there is somthing wrong in the keyboard controller and we have to change the whole motherboard
but then i downloaded the software KEY REMAPPER. i changed the windows key to shift key and using that till now

You might have accidently disabled 'stick keys' it is a short cut that is activated is you press shift 5 times

Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Accessibility Options. The default panel that comes up will in fact be for the keyboard options. There you can turn off whatever happened to have been turned on. While you're there for each of the three options, press Settings, and uncheck Use Shortcut. Now Windows will no longer misinterpret your random keystrokes.
