i installed windows xp service pack 3 and now no sound drivers are working.on the device manager it shows crystal wmd audio codec are missing and upon installation,the same error is shown.please advice

- i tried to install some sound file converter software and on restarting my laptop i descovered that there is no sound. it can't even play system sounds.the device manager doesn't list the hardware. i thought it was a sound card problem, so i downloaded a crystal driver from dell support website which i installed as well as the chipset for my model of laptop. i installed that also and the problem is worse. right now the operating system hangs and doesn't even boot.- GuestApr 10, 2008

Try installing Microsoft UAA Drivers, you can find em in google.
