Most likely driver is missing or corrupted for the video card. What type of video card do you have? Would be listed in documentation, box, etc if you do not know.

You need to get the driver for the video card or chip-set, search the net for it ,you will need to know the make & model number, and the operating system you use.

good luck

HOW TO DOWNLOAD VGA DRIVER FROM INTERNET

Go into the Device Manager from the Control Panel. Find the make of your Video Card (Company). Google the company name and visit the website. Under support, find your video card model and download the most recent drivers... (I usually just download to the desktop). Double click the file you just d/led and install. If there's a compatibility problem, 99/100 times the installer will tell you.

No video output from atapi dvd rw after OS reinstall, cd rw ok

>> VGA controller (vga compatible) error in the device manager

Windows has not found a "good" device-driver for the "integrated" video-controller on your motherboard; it is using the "generic" adapter.

So, trying to download the "SIS Mirage Graphics" software is an attempt by Windows to download a "specific" device-driver that matches your video-adapter hardware.

You might try installing an add-in video-card, to see if Windows will install the correct device-driver, and still boot-up correctly.

Otherwise, take the computer to a qualified technician, for trouble-shooting about your boot-up problem.

Ethernet controller driver doesnt work

Use the support cd of the motherboard. It contains all the necessary drivers for your ethernet controller and video controller. If you don't have the installer then visit the website of the motherboard brand and there download the right driver of the motherboard model and the operating system that will be used by it.

My VGA is very low as low as 4 bits and I cant fix it.

You need to locate and reinstall your video drivers - most likely showing up in Device Manager as VGA compatible or other device. After installing will appear as Display Adapter and allow higher resolution.
