Question about Samsung Yepp YP-T9 Digital Media Player

1 Answer

YP-t9 I am having trouble having the computer recognize the device. It says it'st there but it cannot install the hardware. I was able to put songs on it before... but suddenly this happened. When I try to update the driver it says.. "An error has occurred during the installation of the device... A service installation section in this INF is invalid."

I am having the exact same problem with my 2GB version of the same mp3 player.

Every computer but my own allows me to drag and drop files, but mine simply recognizes the device, then says the hardware could not be installed, even when I try to use the installation CD that came with it.

I have a samsung YP-T9, but have lost the software for it. I am trying to use WM to delete the songs, but it isn't working. What else can I do for this?

I solved this problem by hooking my device up to my computer and opening Windows Media Player. On the left hand side it will show the name of your device under your playlists. I right clicked my devices name and chose to format it. That erased all of the songs as well as pictures that I had put on the device, and it only took a few seconds.

I dont know how to delete songs on my mp3 player yp-t9

Since this model mp3 does not allow you to delete the songs from the mp3 device itself, you will have to connect it to the computer,

then go to the your mp3 device storage ("my computer"-> then look for your mp3 storage device)

there, delete the songs you want using the computer.

Thanks, hope this helps! ^_^

Look sir.The yp-t9 can only play svi files. In order to put the videos into your yp-t9 you must hav samsung media studio and also the videos must be in either mp4,avi or wmv format. And then use Samsung media studio to put the videos into your yp-t9,samsung medai studio will convert the videos into svi format which your yp-t9 can read.

Kinda long, sorry: Unable to safely remove or rename folders/files on my YP-T9

It sounds as if it a problem with write caching.

Basically, if write caching is enabled, any changes you make to the files in Windows are not actually carried out at the time, but are saved into memory and then when you select safe removal they are written to the external device in one go. From what you describe, since you can't select safe removal, it sounds as if the changes are never being written to your player.

Try this:

Go to My Computer, right-click the icon for your player and select properties.

Go to the hardware tab, scroll down the list and highlight your player and then click properties.

Go to the policies tab and make sure 'optimize for quick removal' is selected.

Ok your way back out.

Hopefully this should solve the problem.
