Turn the calculator over. Use a paperclip to gently press the RESET button right of centre near the bottom.

Sharp el 9300c

I took the EL-9300 apart to look for cold solder joints on the battery terminals. Found no bad connections. Make sure you remove all retaining screws.
Cleaned the pc board under the reset button. Cleaned the board under the slide switch that is actuated by the metal battery hold down clip. When you go to turn on the calculator install the hold down clip because it makes a connection to the pc board.
When I pushed the "On" button I got a down arrow. Push the "Reset" button when you get the down arrow. Various menus came up and I managed to reset the calculator.

How do I change out the batteries in my Sparco SPR02191 calculator

First a get cup or some sort of container to hold onto small parts.
Turn the calculator over on its back. You will need both a small phillips type screwdriver to remove the two small screws at the top. One that has been magnetized is best. Also you will need a small narrow bladed standard screwdriver to seperate the two halfs apart. Once you have removed the two screws and put them in a safe place it is time to open the case itself. Start near where one of the screws was and put the standard screwdriver in the groove between the halfs and gently start twisting it to pry the halfs apart. Work your way around the two halfs gently and slowly. There are plastic clips around the edge and they will slowly pop one after the other. Once you have the two halfs apart there is a small holder containing the battery. One side of the holder has a small gap. Slowly use your small standard screwdriver to push the battery gently though this gap from the far side. Mine had a GP189 button cell. You can go online and google 'GP189' and look for other rbatteries of this type. Same thing for putting the replacement battery back in. Just get it started with your fingers and push it in with the small standard screwdriver. If you don't have a small standard screwdriver a small dinner knife can be used to pry the halfs apart and anything small like that can be used to get the batteries in and out. Anything small of metal or bamboo comes to mind. As far as getting a new battery on the cheap try looking in 'Dollar Tree' type stores. If they don't sale the batteries themselves you can purchase a small generic calculator or any other small electronic and rob the battery from it. That's what I basically did in looking at other small calculators I already owned and robbing a battery from one of those. The very last step I took just before putting the calculator back together is noting the battery type and position and marking that on the back of the case with a fine tip sharpie.

Need change battery (LR44) but cant open my HP10S. Yes, I took the 2 screws but I can not open the calculator. Thanks. Klaus

The calculator HP10s has 7 attachments. 4 in sides, 2 in the upper part and one in the lower part. First you need to remove the screws, then you have to push the attachment in the lower part and continue with the ones that are in the sides.

Battery needs to be replaced. Took out screws in back. How does back come off?

The back does come out - took me 20 minutes to figure out how without breaking it. After you take the screws out of the back, put a flat head screwdriver or a small coin (US dime) into one of the two slots on the top of the calculator. Start to flex the coin to separate the halves of the unit near the top, and keep the space open. Slide your dime around to the side of the calculator, and you'll be able to separate the light grey part from the black part - and the calculator will then come apart. Good luck.

Can't turn on Ti-89 after not using for 5 years

Will it connect to the computer using device explorer, This way you might be able to see what the calculator is installed with. And it should turn on automatically.

Dropped my HP 12C into the sink (full of clean water)

Yes, take it apart, and wash the circuit board.
Hard part is taking it apart without breaking the little tabs that snap the case together. It may have a couple hidden screws somewhere like in the batt compartment or under a label or under the rubber feet. Then carefully pry the case joint apart to get the snaps to let loose. Then the circuit board easily comes out - be careful if all the keys are loose not to disturb them. Also be careful of the display that may be loosely mounted. Once you get the board out, you can wash it with soap and water - whatever, just rinse it when clean with something like alcohol so no residues are left. Also be careful to not rub off any off the black key contact spots where the keys touch it. Put it back together loosely and see if it works.

Casio JF-100TE Battery Replacement

Remove two screws at top. Then there are 3 hidden **** on both the right and left side of unit for a total of 6. Pry the case apart starting at top on one side. Then slide a small thin screw drive down the side till you come to first *** and pry just a little till it comes apart. The first *** is on the side at display height center. The next *** is between the GT key and division key on side. The next *** is on side at top of plus key. The case will now swing open like a door with the same 3 **** on on side of case. The top of case **** are female. The bottom of case **** are male. The battery slides in and out. Make sure you get + and - right.

My problem is I changed the battery but display still only works with solar power.

Took a battery out, put it back in and it wouldn't turn on.

Try replacing both the AAA batteries and the back-up batteries. This should probably fix the problem.
