Do you have an earlier copy that can be restored, with just a few more entries needed? Also look in the EasyInv folder for a file starting with ~ to see if you can salvage a working version of the file.

MS Office repair:
Go to the "Add and Remove Programs" in your Control panel. Click the "Change" and do the 'repair program' utility.
That should fix it, good as new.
Be sure to have your INSTALL disk handy (for all Microsoft products).

SOURCE: Invoice & Order Minimize Data Entry - Especially Name and Address

Do you have Microsoft Access? If so, you could use that to create a database and an invoice form. You could also use Access to "dump" the info into Excel to track and record.

Otherwise, try searching for "Import Data" in the Excel help. It would be very difficult to walk you through the whole process, but if you have specific questions about certain steps, that would be more manageable.

Unfortunately windows installs are a total jailbreak sometimes. the problem might be with the windows install, not the apps. Try repairing winndows. Put the windows disk in the drive and boot the system. There should be a repair option. Also, try the system file checker, sfc.exe:

Start a cmd prompt as administrator and type in:
sfc /scannow<enter>

You'll need the install disk in the drive for this. If that doesn't work, you'll probably need to reinstall windows from scratch. That sucks, but windows sucks, so you're stuck. After the install, run windows update until it says you're up to date and then install the problematic software first.

How do i do a factory reset on my toshiba satellite a100 laptop?? I havent used it in over a year and have forgotten my password and simply want to reset it. But the forums i read everywhere have not...

Unfortunately you need to have an installer of the windows. If you do not have a recovery dish I suggest you download the ISO of windows 7 from here: http://www.w7forums.com/threads/official-windows-7-sp1-iso-image-downloads.12325/ and then burn it on a DVD to make an installer disk. Then insert this disk in the computer you need to reset Follow through until you get to the option to open the Command Prompt, which you'll want to select.
First you'll want to type in the following command to backup the original sticky keys file:
copy c:\windows\system32\sethc.exe c:\
Then you'll copy the command prompt executable (cmd.exe) over top of the sticky keys executable:
copy c:\windows\system32\cmd.exe c:\windows\system32\sethc.exe
Once you get to the login screen, hit the Shift key 5 times, and you'll see an administrator mode command prompt.
Now to reset the password-just type the following command, replacing the username and password with the combination you want:
net user geek MyNewPassword.
hat's all there is to it. Now you can login.
Of course, you'll probably want to put the original sethc.exe file back, which you can do by rebooting into the installation CD, opening the command prompt, and copying the c:\sethc.exe file back to c:\windows\system32\sethc.exe.

David

Sounds like you have a corrupt invoice in your database. If you have a service contract with PCAmerica, contact them for a fix. If not, I can take a look.

In the process of installation of the disk #1 the following message appears: cannot open input source current file: DSSAGENT.EXE Thank you for your prompt help

As this could be spyware, try to run the http://live.sysinternals.com/ and run the procexp.exe to see a more detailed task manager...

dssagent.exe is a virus, trojan, spyware, adware which you can remove, or a file belonging to a Windows system or an application you can trust.

ssagent.exe is located in a subfolder of C:\Windows. Known file sizes on Windows XP are 546,304 bytes (72% of all occurrence), 590,336 bytes, 69,162 bytes, 510,976 bytes.
File dssagent.exe is not a Windows core file. Program starts when Windows starts (see Registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run). The program has no visible window. It is located in the Windows folder, but it is not a Windows core file.

Will the computer start and boot up at all? You said you did a restore.

If it will, you may be able to insert your backup disk after the computer boots and use Windows Explorer to view and copy your files back on to the hard drive.

If the computer won't boot, you can reinstall Windows and after it boots then try to use Windows Explorer to see if you can retrieve the files.

Is it in a single-user environment? You can save the current invoice number to a text file then ope that and +1 (which is the way that the demonstartion Invoice in Excel 97 / 2000 used to do it ).
