My Printer works fine... except it won't feed business cards or card stock

I have had my printer for a few years and it is starting to show signs of wear... Like the scanner taking forever and sounding really bad when it scans.... but My heres what I really need to know:
Lately I can not feed my business cards or card stock through it. It prints fine with regular office paper.
What would I need to do to fix this?

You cant fix this because brother printers are limited to paper:
paper that weights more than 200g wont run through the paper feeder.

Uneven wear on printer feed roller

Are they printing heavy card stock or envelopes? It seems they might be using a specialty paper or there may be hair wrapped around the other rollers somewhere too.
'
One possible solution is to get the next model year rollers and see if they fit If the manufacturer noted the problem they may have fixed it but are unwilling to acknowledge it publically on the newer models.

Business cards get stuck in HP 4650

The card stock is most likely too heavy for the 4600. If you check the owners manual, you will most likely find this is "Out of media specifications".

Other color HP laser printers like the 2500 cannot move card stock well either.

HP will tell you that 'if the printer moves paper perfectly' it's not broken.

I looked up the user guide at Dell's website and looked up printing cards.

  • The print side of the cards faces down.
  • The cards are centered on the paper exit tray.
  • You select Automatic, Normal, or Photo print quality.

  • Apparently you need to feed the card stock one page at a time into the printer on TOP of the paper exit try (The card stock will feed in from above the normal paper load try [remove paper from the paper tray] and once printed come back to the same spot.

Epson RX500, Paper Jam - printing couldn't start

Normal 0 I suggest you get a sheet of Card Stock (Heavy paper) and place it in the feed way. Then press the print button, applying a slight amount of pressure on the Card Stock so it will feed through the printer. The reason for this, is in some cases I have been able to clear the paper track of debris that was deposited there over time. Worth a try. I have fixed a number of printers this way saving costly repairs. Bud

    HP C4280 incorrect paper feed

    Check your printer's capability.

Buy the card stock they recommend.

If all else fails, print on plain and take card stock to a copy shop and have them do it for you.

Walking there beats going nuts over stupid software or hardware problems

    Hi,
I m not sure what the specification of the paper type you are using however if you are using card stock than you should use manual feed Tray and in the printer driver properties you should select paper type as Card-Stock to make sure there is no print quality issue.
