Samsung DVD and Videl will not switch on. Have checked fuse.

This is a power board problem. Check for components that have failed. It could be a fusible resistor, regulator, capacitor, diode or ic.

Samsung dvd and video model VR 320, will not switch. Have checked fuse.

Hi? If this uses a transformer, then check or use a multi-meter to confirm that indeed the transformer is working. If it uses a power supply board, check to see if there are any damaged components or any loose connections. You could re solder all the components on the power board.

How can I record home VHS videos to a DVD on my Samsung DVD-VR320 DVD Recorder/VCR?

BE CERTAIN OF THE KIND OF DVD DISKS IT SUPPORTS. My experience is that the kind of discs while you would think would not make a difference actually do make a big difference depending on the equipment you are using. I just transferred 15 vhs tapes to DVD and realized that the machine only took a few formats luckily it was the one I was using, but not all formats may be compatible. There is a difference between DVD+R and DVD-R as an example.

Wont initialize says error turn off the machine

Take the power out and leave it for about 5 minutes, this will force a hardware reset. If its plugged straight back in some information will remain on the chips.

Samsung VR320, video plays sound, but no picture

Either try changing video cable, or you may have loose solder joints on the video jack connection that will need to be resoldered.

Try cleaning the lens. A commercial lens cleaner should do the job, but if not, contact me again, and I'll try to help you clean it manually

I don't know if you ever found a solution, but we have the same problem. We've even sent it back for repair (another $30), but no deal. Samsung ought to be sued for selling crap. This is unreal.
