Question about GE Profile JT952 Electric Double Oven

Open Question

Ge Profile Dual fuel range J2S968SEKSS

My corned beef boiled over and sent water down the front of the range top. Some of it leaked into the oven door. I assume the water entered through the vents at the top of the door. Now there is a small pool of water between the glass panes and streaks down the glass on the inside. How do I clean up the water and the streaks?

SOURCE: Ge oven problem

Look for a microswitch connected to the lock mechanism at the back of the stove. The switch is probably broken.

SOURCE: Broken inside glass of oven door

Most units use Torx screws to hold the door together from the inside. Open the door, use tape to restrain the inside of the door or get help. Remove the 4 screws and the then remove the panel. Should be easy from there.

Disconnect power to range. If you have an ohm meter, you can check the burner coils for continuity from the wires at the switch. If not, open oven door, remove screws holding top. Lift up top and remove screws holding the set of burners in question and visually inspect the inner coil for a break in the burner coil.

Water leaking on cooktop when using oven.

is there a fan for venting with this unit, if there is you will need to turn it on while cooking, it helps dissipate any steam or oil particles that move into the air, hopefully this will solve your problem, if you do have a fan and it is running, you may want to check the screen and clean it,as build up will cause the fan feature to not work as intended, thanks for your question,

Only one ring of the double ring element works

You have faulty regulator, or the element is faulty., not sure how you access the inside.
