Hello,

try pressing Fn + F8 to increase the screen brightness and Fn + F7 to reduce brightness.

If this does not make any difference, then it means your screen bulb is dead and needs replacement.

Once you replace your screen bulb, your screen will brighten up again.

Good luck.

Boss MR1308UAB displau sceen brightness setting control

If the display screen on your Boss MR1308UAB car stereo is completely black and you're unable to find a control setting for brightness, there may be a few possible causes and solutions to consider:
  1. Check the backlight setting: Some car stereos have a separate setting to control the backlight or illumination of the display screen. Look for an "Illumination" or "Backlight" setting in the main menu or settings menu of the stereo. Adjust the setting to ensure that the backlight is turned on and set to an appropriate level.
  2. Check the dimmer setting: Many car stereos have a dimmer function that adjusts the brightness of the display screen based on the ambient light conditions. Check if the dimmer setting is enabled and set to an appropriate level. If the dimmer is set to its lowest level or turned off, the display screen may appear black. Adjust the dimmer setting to increase the brightness.
  3. Verify the connection: Ensure that the wiring connections between the car stereo and the vehicle's electrical system are secure. A loose or faulty connection could cause the display screen to appear black. Double-check the wiring harness and connections to make sure they are properly plugged in.
  4. Reset the stereo: Try performing a system reset on the car stereo. This can help to clear any temporary glitches or issues that may be affecting the display screen. Refer to the user manual for instructions on how to perform a reset specific to your model.

Have a 70' Vizio TV. Have sound no video. Replaced T-Con board, still have no video

Have you tried shining a bright light on the screen while it is playing to see if the picture is faintly visible? Could be a blown backlight due to the faulty board you replaced.

I have a lg 32" tv and have connected everything

Dark picture means you have low brightness on the screen. Please increase the brightness. Also try increasing the back light intensity.

Screen blank

Look at the LCD screen very closely and check if you can see a faint image on the screen. It's possible that the LCD lid close switch stuck in the "closed" position and the back-light stays off even when you open the LCD screen or turn on the laptop. The switch turns off the back-light when you close the LCD display to save the laptop battery power.

If that didn't fix it then there are 3 things that could have gone wrong:

1. Video cable connection from inverter to LCD got loose. To check this, follow instructions from step 3 on how to open the LCD and check if cable is fitted properly.

2. The video inverter is faulty
The screen inverter failure is very similar to the back-light lamp failure. In both cases the screen gets very dark and the image on the screen becomes very faint, barely visible under a bright light. If it's still under warranty, take it for a replacement. You can replace this otherwise - you can find the inverter under the screen, follow the procedure described at point 3 to open up the screen.

3. The LCD monitor is faulty
If it works on an external monitor most likely the LCD is faulty and needs replacement. If it's still under warranty, take it for a replacement. If not, you can do it yourself, it's pretty easy. Remove the rubber covers on the side of the screen, unscrew the screws take the plastic cover off, disconnect the video inverter and put in the new LCD after you connect the video inverter to it.

Pictures are too bright when shooting outdoors in sunlight

Have you tried changing your settings manually to outdoor? Or adjusted the aperture? You can usually find the aperture settings under the menu button. If not, try adjusting to outdoor conditions and disabling flash. And also, lower your white balance a good bit.
