Memory setting changed - no bios screen to reset memory to auto I had a running system DG41KR + 2G memory(KVR1333D3N9/2G) I wanted to increase memory to 4G, could only get KVR1333D3N9/4G Inserting...

It sounds like what you need to do is reset your bios back to factory settings. You can do this by doing something called Clearing your CMOS. To do this, look at your motherboard for a silver battery. Near it should be three pins perpendicular from the motherboard. On two of them should be something called a jumper. With the computer unplugged, move the jumper to the other two pins. Wait for 30 seconds then move it back. Plug the power back in and start it back up. Everything should be working properly. If you cannot find the three pins, just pull out the battery for a few hours with the computer unplugged from the wall. This will accomplish the same thing, it will just take longer.

I want to use a scan disc 4g memory card in my optio s50 but the 4g cards have hc on them and don't seem to be compatible,I currently use a 2g card

Yeah, Unfortunately some devices can not read the HC or high capacity cards, mainly older devices. You will have to settle for the smaller card or upgrade the card reader or other device.

New 4G memory card states full have re-formatted but still shows full. Have tried a 2G card but that is ok to use any ideas please

Your new 4GB card is an SDHC card. The S700 works with MMC and SD cards. While SDHC cards will fit into the slot, they are electronically incompatible and will not work. You need to go with cards 2GB and smaller.

I have a 4GB PNY micro SD card for my cell phone. I cannot get my pc to read the card to download pictures stored on it. I am using the adapter. What am I doing wrong?

Your pc may not be able to read the 4G. Older readers are limited to the 2G sticks. The 4G is SDHD (High density) and you have to get a newer reader/usb reader.
You can test this by taking it to walmart and see if it will work in their printer.

What if a new memory card wont initialize?

Hi

The reason you are having this problem is that the maximum size memory card supported by this camera is 2GB. Any card with a larger capacity - like your 4 GB card - can not be initialised by the camera.

For reference see

Hope this helps. Please do remember to rate my answer. Many Thanks.

Sony Vaio computer not recognizing added RAM

First, do you have a 32-bit or 64-bit operating system. Unless you have the latter, you will only see 3GB maximum.
Second, did you look at the Sony specs (you didn't say what model you have)? Chances are your Sony maxes out at 2GB.

Can i place a 4g and 2g stick in my macbook pro

Hello! The MacBook Pro you have mentioned can only support 4GB's total. 2GB's in the first slot, and 2GB's on the second slot.

What you may have seen by accident was that you can purchase either a 4GB kit, or a 2GB kit. Meaning a 4GB kit with 2 2GB sticks, or a 2GB kit with 2 1GB sticks.

Your best bet is to go with a 2GB stick in each slot to max out your MacBook Pro. 2GB's is the largest each slot can read.

For more information, check out the website below which has very detailed information on memory for various systems.

I assume that you are referring to the maximum memory of this computer. It is only 1 gigabyte, not upgradeable to 2.
