You probably need to install the drivers for your webcam.
Check on Asus's website: http://usa.asus.com/Eee/
There are a lot of different specific Asus Eee PC models, so be sure to select the right one. Once you find the right model number and go to its page, there should be a download section that includes various drivers. Download and install the webcam drivers.
You should be able to find the driver you need from the www.asus.com website. Click om the support link and lookup your specific hardware model #. Input the operating system you are using and the driver list will appear. Download and install the proper driver and you should be all set. Hope this helps.
1. Restart your Eee PC. 2. Press F2 while booting (to enter BIOS sittings) 3. Go to "advanced" tab (by pressing right arrow) 4. Select "Onboard Device Configuration" (by pressing down arrow) 5. From there you can find if "Onboard Camera" is enabled or not. 6. If not, just press enter to pick "Enabled"
