I have an hp laptop...the computer is no longer recognizing the camera. i shut it off, tried to get all the updates done, but now, not only doesnt it recognize it, it wont connect to the internet either! we tried doing a malware scan and it came up that there were no viruses, but there's still no connection or camera recognition...what do i do?

Try doing a system restore to an earlier time before you started getting that problem,if you can remember how long ago it started doing this.Please let me know if that fixes the problem:)

Check the driver disk that came with webcamera, install this and see if it works , if it still doesnt detect the camera check on the cameras website to see if there is an updated driver and try that.

go to compaq's website, download the latest Bios Update, run the bios update while the power suply is connected on the laptop. after the update, the power adapter should be recognized by the laptop

This isnt your fault, your computer doesn't recognize the drivers.. what you do is 1. right click my computer. 2. on the side panel click device manager. 3. the device that sticks out is the camera, right click that and go to properties. There it will say update driver, click that. THIS HAS TO BE DONE WITH CAMERA PLUGGED INTO COMPUTER...

if u are very sure that the drive is DVD drive then u have download the firmware update for the drive. If its doesnt work definitely the lens maybe weak. So u have to change the drive

CD Burner doesnt see a Disc is in already
failure my friend. try to restart your computer, this way, after restarting, your drive will recognize that a cd is in.

if it still doesnt recognize that a cd is in, try updating the firmware of your drive and clean the lenms of your cdrom too.
