My computer is not recognizing the device is downloaded...Asking for a disk that didn't come in the package. Downloaded info from the 1 disk I received. Why can't my computer locate the converter box?

You do not require an installation disk. All the drivers and anything else you might need, manuals etc can be obtained on-line. Go to the following site:

Select your operating sysytem then your Langugae of choice. Download your driver package.

Shut down your computer > Connect your printer and power up > Boot computer > It should recognize the new device and look for the drivers > If the computer cannot locate the drivers make sure you remember where you downloaded and saved the driver files so that you can manually point the computer to the driver files.

With the driversfound, the computer should install the printer and make it available for use.

If you didn't receive them 1/13/11 why didn't you email into the iTunes Store asking for them, I suggest you do this and see what they can do for you.

This particular device is tricky as Philips does not have drivers on their website, however there is a way to get this up and running.
First thing you are going to do is download two zipped folders, each containing the software that you will need. The first driver package is located here (unzip but do not install).
Second you will download the software package, located here (but do not unzip or install yet install).

Third, uninstall the TV tuner card if is showing up in Device Manager. You can get to Device manager by right clicking on My Computer and selecting Manage. In the left side click Device Manager. When all the devices are shown, right-click on the TV tuner card and click uninstall. Also, because the TV tuner card may be hooked up and no drivers are installed, you may see an "unknown device". Uninstall the "unknown device". Now run the installation/setup program from the first download and follow the step by step instructions.
After setup has finished installing the drivers, go ahead and restart your computer. After you have logged back into your computer, your operating system will recognize the TV tuner and may prompt you for the driver files via the Found New Hardware wizard. When prompted for a driver, browse to the first folder that you downloaded and select the driver file. Now that your computer has recognized and successfully installed the hardware, you will unzip and run the setup file from the second folder you downloaded. This is the software application that will use to interact with your new tuner card.

You can download the driver free from the manufacture's website. It would be under the support or download tab on their page.

Step 2. Unplug your printer from your computer

Step 3. Run the program that you downloaded, you may or may not be asked to plug in your printer.

Step 4. Plug in your printer, your OS should recognize the printer now.

If you go to control panel/system/hardware/device manager. You can roll back to your previous driver. Unless of course it wasn't working then either. In that case disregard this solution : )

Please right click on my computer and then go to Manage

Then click on disk management.

Now on the right you should see all the hdd and storage devices attached to your pc.

Now look for one without a drive letter. ex(c:, d:, and so on)
once you have found the one without a drive letter, right click on it and then and click "change drive letter and paths"

Then give it any drive letter that is availible.

It should work then

you will need to install the usb driver which should be located on the 2008 disk. When you attach the gps to your computer it should ask where the usb driver is located. If your dvd drive is (D) click browse and go the disk and find usb driver folder. I have purchased the new 2008 disk and had problems with it freezing on loader loading. I then browsed the disk and downloaded and then was able to get to the maps. I did not install it due to it asking what map I want to download. I wanted the whole thing so needless to say I am taking it back to walmart. I hope this helps.
