Question about Toshiba Satellite A135-S2266 Notebook
G'day, My A135 s2266 is playing up again!
I'm have upgraded the RAM to 1.5Gig and am running vista. Originally I had the problem of the disc drive disapering on my computer, it just wasn't there and didn't work. I took it to the shop and they fixed it (for free) by doing something with the filters. They said it was a simple thing to do and did solve the problem. However, I have just recently got the internet for the first time on this computer and it now upgrades itself all the time, and now the old houdini Disk drive is up to its old tricks again. I can't play DVD's or anything as there is no drive. Can you please help me??!!!!!
Be sure and check to see if the upgrades aren't removing your disk drive from your BIOS settings, which totally makes it unusable. Check your BIOS setting to see if your DVD drive is still listed. If so, then check your Device manager to se if the dvd drive is listed. If not, you may need to go to the DVD manufacturers website and see if they have a VISTA driver for that model no.
