Hi, I have a samsung video camcorder model VP-D107i which has only been used several times. I needed to use it last week to video my husbands funeral service and after charging the battery the cam wouldn't turn on at all, won't eject the tape, won't do anything, it just ticks like a clock. I have many memories on the mini dv tapes that I can't see without it. Help me please!

- Hi creeperz, thanks for that, yes I did charge the battery, it was after I charged ir that the cam stopped working. There is just a tick, tick sound when I attach the power adaptor and I think maybe that it is the tape jammed but now it won't eject and I don't know what to do.Mar 22, 2008

Although my question might sound stupid, but did you charge the battery? The camera should be having a li-ion battery, which does not retain its charge for long(a week or so) which gives the battery a longer life.
If this is not the problem, could you explain the "ticks like a clock" in detail.
I could also be due to the tape getting jammed.
