Go to Control Panel->System->HW->Device Manager. Select the Webcam and Disable it. Then from the Action option select Scan for New HW. The drivers would be reloaded and your webcam will start working again.
If still the same, the only solution is to reinstall the operating system and reinstall again the webcam driver which might be corrupted with the windows registry file.
Got to http://gd.panam.acer.com/home/ Select the computer model Select Operating System Click Drivers Select Camera (Suyin) and download it. Once downloaded install it on your computer.
Please Check in the Device manager, if you found any yellow marks or rex marks or explanation marks, update the drivers. then check with webcam.
Please download the file amcap920.zip from http://www.download25.com/install/amcap.html and install the setup.exe. It will create "amcap" in programs. click the amcap. you can see the video from cam.
The Acer Aspire 5732Z does have a built in mic. In the event a quick start guide and user manual did not come in the box when you purchased your notebook, they can be downloaded here:
There are 2 separate download links one for the quick start guide and one for the user manual.
You need to configure audio settings in Skype. Once you have Skype open, go to tools>options>audio settings. Once there it will allow you to set up audio settings on your pc. You can select the default mic (and automatically adjust the mic settings) select your speakers( and auto adjust your speaker settings.) Once you select your settings click on save.
When ever a laptop comes with an inbuilt webcam , a default app
will be provided by the manufacturer to access the cam.Search for the
same and use it. You can also access the cam through control panel. One simple way is to use a IM application like Yahoo messager or Gtalk which support video chat , it opens up the cam automatically once you start a video chat.. If this doesnt work you may not have the right drivers. Go to the acer website or a 3rd party driver site like www.driveragent.com and update the drivers! Also if running on batt it may be disabled to save power.. right click on my computer click properties and device manager and make sure it is on the list of hardware, or newer verisons of windows control panel > system > Hardware
From another user:
"open up the cam software as normal, then turn your camera to face the back of your notebook, turn it back again and keep clicking the camera start button and eventually it will come on."
This worked for me. It is the only thing that has worked!
