Question about Panasonic DMR-EZ47V DVD Recorder/VCR

2 Answers

DMR--EZ48V I need your help to get my remote control to operate my DVD recorder/VCR combo. I was in the setup menu and accidentially set the remote control to "RC2" and now the remote isn't working at all. Do you have any suggestions? Would greatly appreciate some.

I called Panasonic and spoke with a Tech and he instructed me to point the remote at the unit and hold the "OK" button and the number "2" for 10 seconds. It worked perfectly.

The solution that worked for me is to point, press, and hold buttons "OK & the number 2" for ten seconds at the unit. Then press the power button to see if it operates the unit.

I have Panasonic DMR--EZ48V, I set the remote control to "RC2" then I changed my mind and want to go back to RC1, but the remote and the unit are not working at all. Whenever I push any button on both devices, it will always show RC2 and flashing… I even unplugged the vcr/dvd for a few seconds then plugged back into the wall, still same problem above.

Your DMR is telling you that it is set to listen for RC2 but your remote is transmitting RC1.

Two choices for a fix:

1. Put the remote back into RC2 mode by simply holding both the ENTER and 2 button for at least 5 seconds.

OR

2. Reconfigure the DMR to listen for RC1 by going into the function menus and selecting SETUP. Look for the remote control option. Change it to 1, it will currently display the value 2.

Enjoy.

This worked. For me, I was receiving error message RC 1. I had to press and hold the "OK" button and button "1" at teh same time for ten seconds.

If you get error message RC 2--press and hold buttons "2" and "ok" for 10 seconds

If you get RC 3--press and hold buttons "3" and "ok"

Thank you again. This saved me $38

Many DVD recorders need the remote for a few functions like menu and setup. The remote part # is EUR7659T80 in the US. You can order parts here . it costs about $35 US. Save yourself some headaches.

Remote broke how can i record vcr/dvd player . wnat to record on my vcr?

I assume this combo unit has basic front panel buttons (behind the right-hand door - where the copy button is) - there should be a drive select (VHS or DVD) button stop play record. I strongly advise if you really need a remote for this model, particularly when it comes to menu/setup options, that you search various online and similar stores for one.

The cost will depend where you go and who you deal with - and if the remote is available (you can always ask Panasonic about a remote for a DMR-EZ48V even though your model may be a DMR-EZ47V - they both use the same remote (N20AYB000136 or equivalent number); they can probably tell you how to order one through them, the price, etc.

A universal remote may work, but with limited functions. If the combo unit works in general, you should not have too much trouble obtaining a replacement remote (just keep in mind the model above).

The remote may cost just over $100 but remember, this is only if you want full control of your combo unit.

The description for setting up the LG RC897T VCR/DVD recorder says to "tune the TV to the recorder output channel (3 or 4) and set the recorder channel selector to the cable output channel" - so where do...

it means that your tv has to be on channel 3 or 4 to use device. once your tv is on one of those channels, you should be able to program your dvd/vcr to record and check to see if there is a menu button on your controller. if it is a newer tv, try setting menu on component1, aux 1 or anything but tv..if there is a menu button on controller for dvd/vcr player select that once you see the home screen on tv...

Can't switch from AV2 to AV1 with Samsung DVD-VR375 DVD Recorder / VCR Combo

To be able to select AV1, you have to first go into the setup menu and set the control set top box setting to OFF. I think you go to the menu >> setup >> features >> set top box control >> select OFF. Note that this has the side effect of erasing any previously stored timer settings.

Dish Pro record code for Mag combo

ZNREL, I've done this with Dish Pro before. Setup the Dish remote to control the Mag combo in the VCR position. Press the SAT button and select the guide. Go to the program in the guide and select it. The "record this program" routine should pop up, set it up. Here's the key, make sure the Dish remote has the VCR button selected and that the remote is placed where it can "see" the Mag combo. At the set time, the Dish remote will change the DishPro to the proper channel and then issue s "record" command via infrared to the Mag combo to start recording. DishNet has all of the device codes to their remotes downloadable from their site.

Sylvania SRD4900 DVD/VCR combo problem

Hi I am Temperance MI and I see this mode in my shop often, does any onscreen menu come up when using the remote and
going into menu? If not maybe the remote is bad, common just
a loose battery lead, If you are able to go into menu, and set the
clock, but unable to set timer record, look closely at you recordable tape to make sure on the left bottom from corner the
the recording tab is in place, You can place scotch tape over this hole of existing tab to ensure it will go into record. Finally
if it wont go into record when you try to use OTR, you
make a problem with the record ready switch in the VCR section. Joe . East Electronics, Temperance MI
