The 3 blinks symptom is for busted convergence IC,you must replaced this IC in order that will works better again.STK 392-150ICs and it's associated resistor,this resistor automatically chagne value,can caused truoble even though you change the ICs.If you bring this to a service center they cost you $600 to $700,but if you buy the repair kit you can save more,don't wory it is very easy because there is intallation guide including in the repair kit. Feel free to ask whatever the result... click the link for sample picture guide step by step installation;
Hello Yann, Please be advised that doing the convergence in service mode is a very complicated process. This could mess up your TV even more. The best TV tech out there finds doing convergence a Headache. Doing convergence is part of the repair that most TV tech fears. Email me if you still want it. I will not post here for the general public.
It sounds to me like the convergence amps themselves have failed. Ic7001 and Ic7002, both are STK392-110 Sanyo built Ic's and not an expensive job for a qualified shop. When shopping around for a shop to repair it ask what they charge for replacement of the convergence amps in this unit. And take the unit to them to save pickup and delivery charges...
Have a great day!
