Question about Dell Latitude D400 Notebook
I have no cd drive for my laptop and was wondering how to use my pc to install all my reinstallation stuff because my hard drive was wiped out
Your best bet is going to be an external CD Drive. I assume you have all of the disks that Dell sent with the computer.
You could remove the drive from the laptop, get an adapter that will allow you to connect it inside of your pc, and copy installation files to the drive, and make the drive bootable, but this is not simple. Booting to the Dell CD is simple, and is the easiest. Spend $80 (or less) and get a drive.
