Question about Sharp AR-407 Copier

1 Answer

Staple problem Have a AR-FN2 finisher that won't staple. I've reset like manual suggests, suppose to click 3 times, but it only clicks 1 time. Don't know if it's not feeding staples through, There are no staples jammed on paper - no indication of staple even touching paper. How do I proceed to fix problem? Appreciate the help.

Pull about 1 inch of staples out of the cartridge, tear off the 1 inch so new staples are flush with plastic cartridge. Reinstall and make 10 stapled sets. By the time it tries to staple set number 3 or 4 you should start to see the staples working. It could take as many as 8 or 9 sets for the staples to advance far enough. Once it staples you are all set/

How do I reload staples into my Xerox WorkCentre 7530?

You did not indicate finisher? Xerox MFPs' come with the most finishing options of any manufacturer.... I included instructions for all of them below. Enjoy!
Solution : Load Staples in the Professional Finisher With Booklet Maker The stapler in the booklet maker uses two Staple Cartridges labeled R2 and R3. Booklet stapling requires that both Staple Cartridges be free of jammed staples.
WARNING: Do not perform this procedure when the printer is copying or printing.
  1. Make sure the printer has stopped copying or printing.
  2. Open the Finisher Front Door.

  3. Squeeze the orange R2 and R3 levers together and pull the Staple Cartridge unit out of the Finisher until it stops.

NOTE: The Staple Cartridge unit does not detach from the Finisher.

  4. Grasp the orange tabs on both sides of the Staple Cartridge and lift the cartridge out of the Staple Cartridge Unit.

The staples won't go fully into the Wood

1. The wood may be too hard for the staples to penetrate

2. The stapler drive spring may have ghotten weak

3. You may not be holding the stapler nose firmly against the wood while stapling

My PHT150 SharpShooter is jammed and won't spring back. The staple plunger is sticking out and won't retract.

Sometimes a bit of the staple material will be sheared off and jam the hammer in its guide, keeping the tool compressed. On the business end of a PHT150 there is a notch in the hammer housing and a slot on the staple carrier. Most times a standard screwdriver can be used by sticking the tip straight into the slot and using the notch to leverage the the two apart. If not, you can clamp the hammer housing in a vise and, using the screwdriver in the carrier slot, tap away from the hammer housing to release the jamb.

My Swingline Optima Power Ease will not staple, nor can I open it to try to find out why. There are staples in there, but it feels like there are no springs

This happened to me as well. I am not sure what causes this but heres what I did to fix it.

Just grab the top part of the stapler ( where it says Swingline) and pull up, like you are trying to seperate the top and bottom. You will hear a click and your stapler should work fine.

Hello. Here is a link to a free manual for your stapler. http://www.arrowfastener.com/upload/manuals/79055000259_manual.pdf

Look on page 3 for the three steps to load it.
1. Press latch in lower rear of gun to remove pusher rod from machine.
2. Insert strip of staples.
3. Replace pusher rod.

Happy stapling! J.

Canon imageRUNNER 7095 copier has the error code E00057a-8003 ..... can you tell me what this means? can we fix it on our end? Let me know as soon as possible because our copier has been down for 3 days....

This Problem occured with a finisher V1/V1L attached to our Canon iR7095.

The staple unit didn'tmove back to it's initial position. After restarting the printer there was a really strange clattering sound coming from the staple unit.

Problem was solved by removing all trapped pages from finisher and copier. Probably you have to restart several times. The system should reset and move the staple unit back to initial position.
