Motor shaft/Brush pulley

I have a Bissell Proheat that I borrowed from my mom. I noticed that the brush belt had came off. When I went to put it back on I noticed the silver pulley that the brush belt goes on has came unattached from the red piece by the motor belt. Does any know how I can fix this or reattached to the red piece? We have tried everything at home to fix it or to figure out how the silver pulley attaches to the red piece. Thankyou

Brush won't spin. Put it back on the ribbed belt

Make sure the driving motor (power on) is turning (without the belt attached). Make sure the brush turns freely when the belt is off (it's probably jammed with wound-up hair, thread, and other debris--remove the brush and clean/lightly oil the bearings). Check the tension of the belt which should be fairly firm--replace if sloppy. Rotate the motor shaft by hand when everything is back together and make sure the brush can be driven without the belt trying to jump off. Hope this helps!

Bissell Proheat Shampooer

Take off belt cover on the left side of the top cover, turn cleaner over, take out screw from red lock and remove, pull cap and brush roll out, unhook the cogged belt, then you can replace the pump belt thru that opening. Put belt over the pump pulley and stretched to go over the motor shaft. Then check the cogged belt and the cogged end of the pully to make sure that there are cogs, replace belt if there are cogss missing or belt is broke, if no cogs on the pulley, then you will have to replace the pump. Pulley only comes witht he pump.

Brush Motor Replacement

This the number for the brush roll motor, 2036757, is it the one you got? I don't remember having to remove the pulley, I am thinking that the pulley is on the new motor. The 8920 is a good number? Where you on the Bissell site, or some other site.

Bissell Proheat 2x Series 8920 - Brush Belt Metal Shaft Sprocket won't turn

Most likely the brush motor is bad and not turning, part #2036757, would sell for around $23. To get to it, start taking out screws on the top cover, that motor is under the that top access cover.
