The remote that came with the TV won't work on it. I bought 2 universal remotes and tried every code and none of them will work on the TV. I am wondering if there is something wrong with the set itself that it won't receive the remote signal? Is there a fix? thanks!
I can suggest to try again with an original remote , sometime happens the universal remote is not able to match some brand of tv may be also a little possibility the receiver on tv has a problem but normally that is not easy it happens - delfo

no a rca universal remote will not work with a dura brand tv u can go to walmart and ask some one where is there the remotes that works with dura brand usely at my walmart there near the checkout points near the cand and magazines
Your sets were made by a Japanese company named Funai.
No guarantee, but you might try any Sylvania, Emerson, Durabrand, Symphonic, or Funai codes listed.
If none of those work, remotes.com often has original remotes at inflated prices.
Depending on the universal remote you can usually program the remote without knowing the codes. One way is to turn on the television, then follow the basic programming instructions for the remote, but instead of entering a code, hit the power button over and over again until the television turns off.
I hope this helps.
look on the label on the back of your Emerson TV. Read the small print and see if there is a possible different manufacturer that actually made the Emerson TV. Just because it says emerson doesn't mean emerson made it. Also if no luck there try the UL listing code and search that code to the UL listing website. That may help also.
Please be informed that the codes vary with different make and model of the universal remote that you have. If none of the codes above work, please post back with make and model of your universal remote included.
