HOW TO OPEN MY MMS?SO THAT I CAN SEND PICTURES

  • sampson11 Nov 16, 2008

I've been searching for months to no avail.

Need the WAP/MMS settings for ATT in the USA. Not just the settings, but where to plug them into the phone's menu system since it doesn't follow the standard wap settings as most phones.

Samsung SGH-G600

MMS Settings:
Menu>Settings>Message Settings>Multimedia Message Profile>Profile 1

You can then change the profile name or keep it default at "profile 1"
Server Url: http://mmsc.cingular.com
Proxy: Enable

Version: 1.2

Then click on GPRS setting
IP Address: 66.209.11.32
Port: 8080
APN: wap.cingular
Login ID: WAP@CINGULARGPRS.COM
Password: CINGULAR1

Then click save

Hypothetically....the settings should work the same for WAP
only thing is change to Server URL: http://device.home

Try these they worked for me & I have the same phone:

MMS settings:
Menu --> Messages --> Settings --> Multimedia Messages --> MMS Profiles --> Options --> Create --> Profile Name: AT&T MMS, Home URL: http://mmsc.cingular.com, check the box next to "proxy", IP Address: 66.209.11.32, Port: 80, Linger Time (sec): 90, leave DNS box unchecked, Bearer: GPRS then go to Advanced Settings --> APN: wap.cingular, Login ID: wap@cingulargprs.com, password: CINGULAR1 (case sensitive). If you have an AT&T account:
FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO NETWORK UNLOCK SAMSUNG SGH-A737

GET THE UNLOCK CODE FROM ATT CUSTOMER SERVICE 18003310500

1. REMOVE SIMCARD AND TURN ON HANDSET
2. The display will read INSERT SIM CARD
3. TYPE #7465625*638*--------# .THE DASHES ARE YOUR 8 DIGIT UNLOCK CODE OBTAINED FROM ATT CUSTOMER SERVICE.
4. U WILL GET A MESSAGE SAYING NETWORK LOCK DEACTIVATED.

after the second asterisk, you'll see a dash ("-") on your screen instead of the number you type.

Multimedia Message Problem

What can you do> Hymm, Call ATT and have them turn on "internet pay per use" (WAP). If they tell you its on, tell them to turn it off and back on again. Then turn your phone on and off.

This is the 98 percent reason why you can not get MMS message (picture messages).

Simple fix, but ATT has to do it
