When I turn on the computer now the monitor say no signal. problem just started 2days ago

Could be a bad video card, easiest way to test is check the monitor with another computer, if nothing comes up on the screen again you know it is the monitor.. If something comes up you know it is the computers video card.

Monitor will come on when turned on and will show windows desktop and affter awhile it will turn off on two secends repeatedly

So it turns off an on every two seconds? Try either connecting another monitor to the computer, and see what happens. Or try another monitor jack on the computer. Like my computer has the built in VGA connection that came on the motherboard. But I installed a better external video card into the PCI 16X slot. So I use the video cards ports, but the motherboard port is still available.

I have a HP Pavillion a6228x PC and the monitor turned black, but the computer is still running. We have restarted it but it turns black again after turning on. What is the problem?

Have you check the monitor? maybe the problem is in the LCD monitor or the CRT. If the monitor is good. Then check your computer's hardware. Is there a Video card on your computer?. If there is one the remove it, be sure that the computer is turned off before removing the card. Then use the on board video output usually color blue. Then turned on the computer again.

Hope this may help you

My Sony Vaio PCV J100 turns on but no nothing comes on the screen/monitor. I have checked the monitor but it works fine on other computers. What could be the problem?

If your monitor works fine on another computer then most possibly its your video card since you said nothing comes on. Usually if its the operating system you should see the computer info before it goes to a blank screen. If you have an add on video card try using the integrated video card or vise versa. You can also use a known good video card from another computer.

When I turn the computer on it goes into digital power save and windows does not load

The monitor is going into power-save mode because it's not receiving a video signal from your computer. Are you turning on the computer at the monitor or on the tower? If you're turning the tower on are you hearing any noise (i.e. fans running, beeps, drives spinning, etc.)? Does the power light on the tower come on and stay on? If not you may have a bad power supply or other hardware issue.

Dell computer monitor wont come on when I turn

When you turn on most dell monitors they come on with a yellow light, then turn green when the monitor and video source synch. If your light is not turning from yellow to green, your monitor is either dead or not getting a signal from the video source it's plugged into. Verify in your BIOS settings that you have selected to output video through an installed card and not from the motherboard source. If the BIOS settings are correct, your monitor has died. If the light is turning green after you turn the computer on, press the menu button on the monitor and adjust the brightness/contrast until you have a picture. If you don't see anything when the menu button is pressed, then again your monitor is likely dead.

When i turn my computer on the power light and

Hello,

If your computer turns on and your monitor stays in stand by mode, then there is no communication between your video card and the monitor.
You could check if the cable is plugged in correctly or even faulty.

It is also possible that there is a problem with your video card. Maybe physically uninstalling and reinstalling it could solve it.

If none of this helps, then you might want to check a new video card.

Hope this helped.

if the power light on the computer comes on, but you get no video or the monitor is powered on but goes into sleep mode then your video adapter on the computer is bad. this is a frequent occurance to the default onboard video adapters connected to the motherboard. you must purchase a pci or agp video card and install into the computer and this will solve your problem. hope this helps, please rate me thanks.

I can't get monitor to come on even though the power light is on

Since it's a new card and you know it's working, install it last. Take it out for now and use the integrated video. Start the computer, enter the BIOS setup and disable the integrated video. Save the new settings and shut off the computer. Then put in the new video card and restart.

HP desktop monitor problem

hi try this ,,,
  1. Ensure the video cable is connected (and connected to the correct video port).
  2. Turn off the monitor using the monitor's power button and then restart the monitor.
  3. Cycle the power on the monitor as follows:
  4. Turn off the monitor. The power light on the monitor should be off. Leave the computer turned on.
  5. Unplug the power cord.
  6. Wait 5 seconds.
  7. Plug in the power cord.
  8. Press the power button on the monitor to turn on the monitor. One of two things happens:
    1. The image from the computer displays on the monitor and you can use the computer again. This indicates that the monitor was unable to detect that the computer had awakened from suspend mode. Turn the monitor off when it is not being used or disable suspend mode. For some computers, updating the BIOS corrects these types of suspend problems.
    2. The power light on the monitor comes on but the screen displays one of the messages again. The monitor is not receiving a video signal from the computer that it can detect and use. Continue using these steps to adjust the Windows display resolution to the Monitor's native (default) resolution
    3. Connect the monitor to another computer that you know is working to determine if the monitor should be serviced or replaced:
      • If the monitor displays an image from another computer, you know that the monitor works. Troubleshoot the video connection and graphics adapter on the computer.
      • If the monitor remain blank when connected to another computer, the monitor signal processing hardware may be bad. The monitor should be repaired or replaced.
hope it will work for u .. little_angel
