Hello vickiek42, these instructions will help you, first, click on the "Start" button, in the "Start Search Window, Type: keyboard; the "Keyboard's" Properties window will open. You can (Test) to see exactly how your keyboard is responding. if you are still having the same problem, (check the Keyboard Status), try "Updating the Drivers," by clicking on the "Properties" button. Now in the event that neither of these solutions solve the problem, which I hope you shouldn't have to do anymore; try "Uninstalling the Keyboard. To "Uninstall the "keyboard," do the following. Shut-down (turn- off completely), Next, turn-on the computer, and go back to the "Keyboard Properties," this time click on the "Change Settings" button, next click on the "Driver" button, and select the "Uninstall" button. Once that is finished, shut-down the computer again. Now you want to "Reconnect" all the devices that were connected before, and "Turn-on" the computer. You will repeat exactly what you did from the start, this will "Reinstall the Keyboard. Restart the computer again after all changes have been made; this will ensure the changes take place properly.
  • Next, I will guide you through the steps to fix the "Touch Scrolling." First, click on the "Start Button" paul7of9_43.jpg in the (right, pane) select to open the Control Panel: next open the [Hardware and Sound] category, paul7of9_44.jpg click on the "Mouse" applet. Next, in the Mouse Properties" (window) click on the "Device Setting" button, paul7of9_47.jpg once the window open, click on the "Settings" button just below the "highlighted" (Name) of the device: Synaptics TouchPad. paul7of9_48.jpg Try out some of the "items listed" Tapping, Virtual Scrolling... "You must click on the "Apply and OK buttons when finished. " Note: Restart the computer; this will make sure the changes are correctly applied, and working properly. "Rating the solution will let me know if the problem is fixed, or you will need further assistance, thanks for using FixYa, paul7of9"

I have the blue screen of death

Hi , its very simple. it will work , but you need to be patient enough. It may take few hours but it will. First of all answer one thing ? did you fiddle with your comp parts, ex Ram or Hard disc or charger. if yes. Do the following. Take out the power , remove the battery, take out the Ram ( if you have two slots for ram , change the slot for one and remove other ram) . Now , press and hold the power button for 30 sec or so, connect the power and release the power button. once it starts connect the battery later on. IF you fail , do all the steps again again till it starts. Believe me it will work , I had same prob, I made a research on this , my comp is back from death. Since then its one year, no prob. You need to believe me and yourself. It will 100% start , you try for a hour or so and leave it , try again after some time or next day. It took for my research and fo my comp rebirth , nearly 15 days. But its back and 100%. I try to fiddle again with ram one day , its gone , but already I knew how to bring it back and I did it in first attempt. Once it starts , its better to reload the windows. Each time you remove the ram ( use only one ram if you have two) change the positions and remember them. You will , and you will. but remember everything I wrote. thanks.

AFTER DOWNLOADING UPDATE FOR LOGITECH MOUSE WILL NOT WORK.

Hello,

If you have XP (Green start button in left corner) you may want to try System restore. Its under Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore. Once you have selected that you will want to choose "Restore My Computer to an earlier time" then choose next. On the next screen you will see a calendar with bold dates. Those are the days that have restore info available. There should be one that list the Logitec driver update, Just click that entry on the right and choose next. After confirming that you have slected the correct date, choose Next again.

This will cause your system to restart and then your system should work as it did before you installed the update.

According to Microsoft, this procedure wont cause any data loss.

Since your mouse isnt work you will need to use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl - Esc to bring up start menu. (Hold Ctrl and tap Esc key) Once the menu opens, you can you the keyboard arrows to select the menu options above. Then use Enter or Space bar to choose System Restore, Once there you can tab to the options and space to select options.

Thanks
