My amplifier on my 2002 chrysler 300M Pro-Am edition went bad according to the dealership (it was shorting out and causing the battery to drain) and I was told they are no longer being made nor could one be found. I thought about after market stereos but I've been told that my steering wheel controls will not work with these. I was wondering if there is somewhere I can have mine fixed?

Finding The Source Of Electrical Shorts In Your Car
some of these cars have infinity sound systems if this is the case the factory amplifier probably went bad and a new radio and an amp rewire will fix the issue. you might want to check the trunk too soetimes people cram all kinds of things in the trunk and you might have broken a speaker terminal on the rear deck and it is touching metal and shorting out the radio causing the sound prcesssor to turn off. hope this helps.
You may have a short in the radio. I just went through this with my 2002 300M (caused by a dead battery..low voltage can cause this to happen). Spent $60 at Dealer today for them to tell me I need a new radio for $300 plus install. I found a brand new one at primelec.com for $24.99 Only 4 screws to install it, but be careful removing the surrounding face place as only pressure hooks holding it in place.
Hello, Had the same problem but i did just the opposite I put a 2002 engine in a 2000. I found out that the cam sensor spocket (for the timing belt) Has the holes for the cam sensor in a different spots causing all kinds of problems also they did the same with the flex plate so I hope you took the one off the 2002 and used it or you will have to pull it back out and change it. Good luck
the best way is to get the schematic for your specific car. that will tell you what you need (your looking for the remote/switch on wire. once you have the schematic ,if you need help reading it you can hit me up and i can help (i am a tech.) hit me up at firstname.lastname@example.org
It sounds like your linkage is binding. Hold the brake down and shift between drive and reverse a few times and then into park. I had the same problem with my 2002 300m. It went away after working the shifter a number of times. DO NOT FORCE IT.
The only thing your battery light and your brake light have in common is your battery and alternator. This happened to me and my battery was low because my alternator went bad. I suggest taking it to autozone (if there is one near you). They can test it for free.
