Printing Cannot print from computer to printer

    i have a e machine xl version computer and a brother all in one fax, printer, scanner, copier what kind of usb cable do i buy.
    to hook up so i'll be able to print

If this is a new printer, is software for the printer installed?

It is not uncommon for PC software to become unstable or corrupt. However before we go there lets check your printer settings.
Click the start button, than click the printer & faxes icon.
The Printer & Faxes window will open. Find the printer's name, the name of the printer connected to your PC. That printer should be listed in this window. If there is not a little black & white check mark next to the printer (left side) than this needs to be set as the default printer before you can print.
To do this high-light the printer name (if still not high-lighted).
Click, File in the upper left corner, it will open & click, Set as Default Printer. To test the printer, click File again & slide down to Porperties & left click it once. A window will open with the name of the printer listed at the top. At the bottom of the window is a button that says { Print Test Page }, left click it once.
After a few seconds a test page should come out of the printer.
If you did not receive the test page from the printer than go through the list & verify all.
1. Is the printer software installed in the PC?
2. Is the printer's power cable plugged into a wall jack?
3. Is the printer's data cable or usb plugged in to the computer?
4. Is the printer turned on?
5. Is paper loaded?
6. Is the printer set as the default printer?
If everything checks out & PC still can not get printer to print than un-install printer software & re-install software.

SOURCE: i cancel the printing job

Try restarting the print spooler.
Click the "Start" button, then click "Control Panel", then click "Administrative tools", Services, scroll down to print spooler, right click and select "Restart."

What's your problem?Compatible printers


I think you might have installed the printer twice. If that's the case you will need to delete one because if two of the same printers are installed it confuses the computer and confuses you. Only one printer can be active and if there are two you might have printed to the one that is not active so all the print jobs when into the print queue.

Click Start/Control Panel or Start/Settings/Control Panel. Look for Printers and open it. If you see more than one of the same printer then that's your problem. Right Click on the extra printer and select Delete.

Look down at the bottom right near the time and see if you see a printer icon, if so click on it to open it. All the print jobs you tried to print will be backed up in the queue so you want to cancel or all of them.

I cancel the printing job in my computer, but the printer keeps printing garbage. I disconnected the printer from the computer and it stopped printing, but the minute I connect the computer it restarted...


Try restarting the print spooler.
Click the "Start" button, then click "Control Panel", then click "Administrative tools", Services, scroll down to print spooler, right click and select "Restart."

7250 series printer everything says it's ok but it does not get the message from the computer to print. Even says at the bottom that it is printing but it's not


in the program your printing from is the 7250 selected if so then
in start go to printer and faxes and see if the 7250 is the defualt printer. if it is then right click and hit properties and hit print test page, if nothing happens try troubleshoot and follow the steps. if all else fails remove printer from pc and reinstall

Have a E Machine T3504 desktop. When trying to print from an embroidery software it takes forever for it to print. Sometimes have to restart computer. Any ideas?


You might want to check the memory on your printer, since it your printer has a low memory then it could take forever to print. I would check the setting for the printer and see if the box labeled start printing after last page is spooled, becuase then the printer will wait for the entire document, you want to change that to start printing immediately and make sure spool print documents is cheecked.

I sent this in approx one month ago and am still waiting for a response. no matter what size print is on my computer when i print it out it looks like ants walking onthe paper. is the problem with the...


If it is not printing as it should even though the printer cable moves along the printing area, it could be a cartridge problem. If you have an old cartridge with a little ink in it, try to load it and see if the result is the same. Otherwise, you have to buy a new cartridge. Also, check if the print head is clogged with ink.

My printer wont stop printing from my computer when the page is finished,keeps going no matter what i do.


Maybe you need to clear the printer query. Then do like a print preview where you'll set up the print settings. Make sure only the # of copies you want is showing.
Is it printing the same print job over and over or pages you didn't select?

Computer not in color printing mode


When you go to print, go to properties for the printer you would like to print. Once there find the tab that says color and make sure gray scale is checked off. It could depend though where that setting is at by printer. Please provide what printer you have. Just the brand no product number or anything only if what i gave at first does not help.
