Dear Trenneth,

I tried pushing combinations of two buttons simultaneously and mine unlocked. It was a Tappan Micro Wall oven so I don't know if it will work for you but...what do you have to lose?

Oven temp will not change

Most ovens have BAKE, BROIL and yours might have CONVECTION. Turn each on independently. If all don't work its one problem if only one doesn't its another
Also is it the gas doesn't ignite or it ignites then no temp change (or electric gets to xx degrees but doesn't get hotter?

Double oven control panel just quit after power surge.

This is unfortunate.
The display is a computer you need to do most of the work.
Go Onlne to www.partselect.com and order that display. You will need a friend or a service guy to open and install you new display

Bottom element quit working. changed element still not working

if your oven has an electronic control board then it needs to be replaced.make sure all your power to the unit is good and there are no loose wires on the main terminal block. If it does not have electronic control then replace the oven control switch.

Our frigidaire model feb789wcc-c convection oven temp display isnt very bright and when oven gets to temp that it was set for it doesnt alert you but is working fine other than that but want to know what...

you actually have just one thing to replace to fix both of these issues. the main control board has to be replaced.
the display can get weak and not show very bright.
the beeper that alerts you is also on that same board.
replace the board and you should be back to seeing and knowing what you oven is doing again.

F7 shows on display and display getting dimmer over months

Dim display is TOTALLY independent of F7 error.
The display will dim as the display board capacitors wear out - due to the heat. Replace the capacitors on the display board (see my other posts) and your be able to see the F7 error code as bright as can be!

Model # mgr6775ads top oven does not come on.

I am not quite sure I understand what is not firing, but looking at the wiring diagram, I would suspect that there is a bottom burner in your top oven that is not firing.

From what I can see in the wiring diagram, the problem is going to be one of two things:

1) The top oven sensor (although it doesn't make sense that the broiler work's with this bad.), or
2) The board is bad.

I assume your measuring voltage to ground or neutral, and measurement points on the valve for S7 are the same as they are for S6. You can trace the Red and Yellow wires back to the control board. Do that, and confirm whether there is voltage to the yellow wire.
I would guess that the door switch is good on the top oven as well, because the broiler burner works.

Display doesn't work, but oven works

First turn the electricity off by locating the breaker to the oven and turn it off. Now wait for an hour or so and turn the breaker back on, if the display turned back on, you need a control board (other manufatures call it a clock, PCB or ECC but it's the main elctronic board with the diaplay built in). If it didn't come back on, turn the power off again and make sure all the wire harness's going to the board are connected good. Turn the power back on and it the display still doesn;t come back on you need to replace the main electronic control board. By the way double check the model number and brand because it might be wrong. Please post back.
