Grill will not heat up

Although our tank is full, the grill will not start. The little side-burner will power up nad works fine, but the grill...no way. We hear a "whoosh!" but the grill does not start. Help! Have had this several years and it has been great...up to now.

I have the same problem, only a little different. It lights but you can barely see the flame. It only heats to 200 degrees.

I don't have the same problem. Have had mine for several months and all works fine. I espically like how the bread bakes on the grill part.

I thoroughly cleaned my Weber Genesis Silver A and have a full tank of gas. It won't get hotter than 250-300 degrees. Flames are blue.

You might have air block. When turning off the grill, leave one burner on and shut the tank valve.
When grill cools, close the remaining valve. When restarting the grill, open the tank valve, then the start burner, then the igniter. When first burner is going, open remaining two valves to preheat the grill.

This has worked on two different grills.

Grill won't heat up above 200 DEGREES with a nearly full tank

Try replacing the regulator and hose, not very expensive and fairly easy to do. If that doesn't help, let me know.

Grill will not light

If there is no gas check the tank, If the tank is fine look at the regulator. It has to be flat, because of a valve inside. This is a safety device incase of tipover.

Grill lights but flame is low and goes out if control is moved from high. Burner tube is clean, spider screen is clean, and I have a full tank of LP. Grill is Q series about 1 year old and has been working...

Hello. Are you frustrated because your gas grill doesn't get hot enough lately. The problem you are having indicates that you have to go through a procedure called "RESETTING THE REGULATOR". Follow these easy steps:

1. Turn the burners on for one full minute and then off.

2. Next, remove the regulator and the hose from the tank.

3. Then reconnect the tank to the regulator and hose.

4. And very slowly open the tank.

5. Last step is to fire up the burners and start cooking with you new hot flame.

The problem began the first time you opened the valve on the tank too quickly. In the future, always turn the tank valve on s-l-o-w-l-y to prevent this problem.. Joe

Char Broil grill w/full tank and cleaned air jets, no heat

try opening the tank really slowly. if you open it too quickly the overfill protection devise in the tank will restrict the gas flow to the burners. hope this helps.

Outdoor grill with no gas pressure, little heat

TURN THE TANK OFF , THEN REMOVE BURNER ASSEMBLY AND CHECK FOR OBSTRUCTION IN THE GAS LINE AREA . IT IS NOT UNCOMMON FOR SPIDERS TO BUILD WEBS INSIDE THE TUBES AND CAUSE MAJOR PROBLEMS

Propane grill

I had this problem when I turned on the burners before I turned on the tank, to fix it I had to turn everything off. Then turn the tank on and wait about a minute for pressure to build in the lines then turn on the burners. Hope this helps

KENMORE Gas Grill 141-152210 Kenmore 437 sq. in cooking will only heat to 250 degrees

sudsy, this exact same thing would happen to me every time I changed a tank. I know it's nothing to do with the grill itself. I would have to seat and reseat the regulator hose to the tank a couple of times before it would start heating normally. Your model has 3 burners and I suspect that the flame is real low on each one even on the high setting. Try connecting and disconnecting the tank a couple of times and see if it comes to life. If worse comes to worse you can order a new regulator hose. Part number P3632L. Catriver..post back.
