Replacement baffle installation

My factory installed baffle fell off. The baffle (or shoe) is the part that turns the laundry. There are three of these inside the laundry machine. I ordered a replacement, but I can't seem to get it installed/connected. Help!

Had on ebafle come loose. The plastic lips had broken off that secure it into the drum.. It was coverd under warrnaty and a replacement baffle was installed.

This baffle now came loose in the wash ripping holes in the bed sheets from the sharp protursion of the drum under the baffle. The plastic is intact this time.

While there appears ot be a screw hole there is no screw installed, This goes for the other two baffles also. They can be removed relatively easily but do not appear to come off in the wash. Could the slots in the drum be bent from the first failure so as to not secure this baffle anymore? How to fix?

I had to replace a torn baffle. I have attempted twice to secure the new baffle to the drum, but it keeps coming loose. The retaining sea clamp seems to be tight, but it will not hold. Should I be using glue or sealant between the baffle and the inner drum? Is there a risk of cracking the drum if the sea clamp is too tight?

I had to replace a torn baffle. I'm able to install the new baffle, but it keeps slipping off the inner drum. The sea clamp is as tight as I can get it. Can I get it too tight where the drum will crack? Should I be using a glue or a sealant between the drum and the baffle?

Its a little tricky but can be done. Can you remove the top panel of your washer?? 3 screws along the back lip and the entire top will slide back and off. theres a little black hose leading from the soap dispensor to the top of the outer tub assy. its only pushed into the tub and is real flexible, pull it out .you see through the maybe 2inch hole and see he inner basket. as you rotate the basket from inside with your hand the inner baffle(s) will line up to the hole and depending on date of manufacture. they might have put a small stainless screws in from behind to hold baffle in place, ifso remve the screws and the baffle (although a little tricky should slide toward the rear of machine to remove, and pull toward the front to reinstall

There is something in the drum housing between the drum and the house that is jamming the drum. how do i get into the drum housing to remove it?

You can remove one of the baffles inside the spin basket; that gives you a pretty good size opening. There is one screw that holds the baffle in place; when you remove that screw you should be able to slide the baffle and it will come out. Sometimes though, at the factory they might, or might not have, pushed a little tap that will make it difficult to slide the baffle. There is place for a second screw; make sure they did not install that second screw. I guess it all depends on which day your spin basket was put together whether or not they pushed the tab, or put the second screw. Good luck!

Change one baffle only or do you need to replace all three?

No as long as the baffles are screwed in properly and no other damage is present it is not important at all.

Fins where can i get new ones

These are called drum baffles. They can be found at Type in your model number and search for item #1058883. A set of three of them goes for about $34. It is cheaper to buy them in this quantity as a single baffle ranges in price from $22 to $34, depending on which website you go to. The baffles should have installation instructions with them. Of not, let me know. I hope this helps you.

Kenmore 40922 front load

This advice from Sears to replace baffles only applies to dryers. The baffles for the washer are installed from inside the basket. If you can't locate mounting from inside the basket, then the entire basket/tub will have to be removed and disassembled.(big job)... But I am pretty sure they mount from inside. Washer or dryer, there are three screws in the rear along the top. Remove screws, slide top toward rear and lift off.
