Question about Dryers

Kenmore dryer won't start

My dryer doesn't start. It's a Kenmore model #110.96429100. I just replaced the motor in January of this year. About a month later it started blowing the thermal fuse. I have replaced it 3 times. I just replaced it and the cutoff thermostat and the 250 degree thermostat on Saturday. After 4 loads the thermal fuse blew again. The only other thermostat is the 150 degree thermostat which is just below the thermal fuse. I checked it with an ohm meter and it has continuity. Any ideas or suggestions is greatly appreciated.

Your blowing that many thermal fuses, id replace all the thermostats. (2) come in one kit both on heater box 1 top and one bottom. id also look into your venting, a clogged fo kinked vent is going to overheat the unit and blow all sorts of stuff(not to mantion the potential fire hazard of a bad vent

Kenmore dryer 592-89047 won't start

Sounds like the lint may have fallen into the fan and has jammed it. The motor will hum if that happens. Its an easy job to clean just take your time taking the blower cover off and reverse the process replacing it.

Kenmore Heavy Duty Plus Dryer 86273100 drum won't spin

How could the belt be in working order if the drum doesn't spin? Check to see if the belt has come off the motor. If the motor runs but your dryer doesn't spin, the belt is off. If the motor runs with the belt on but it still won't spin then you'll have a lot of black smoke because your drum is jammed. In other words, there are a number of things that could be wrong, but not very many.

Ld lg3788w gas dryer drum won't turn

not a good model number, most likely you have a broken belt as long as it starts, heats but the drum doesn't spin,if you get a buzzing sound and it doesn't start you could have something stuck in the blower wheel, the motor is jammed or the motor is bad,you can open the door, push the door switch in,spin the drum with your other hand and have someone push the start button,if it starts you have a bad motor.

Gas dryer will heat sometimes and not heat other times kenmore model 72802

sounds like bad gas coils, you have to send the whole model number,it will start with 110. or similar,if the bottom panel comes off, remove it,start the dryer, or in the front panel down near the bottom pop off the cover and look in,if the flame lights and then after 10 to 20 minutes the flame doesn't light you have bad gas coils.when the coils are starting to fail they will work correctly until they heat up and then they won't work until they cool down, the coils are what opens the gas valve.the coils are on top of the gas valve, remove the two phillips screws, pull off the cover, remove the wires from the coils and install the new coils, put it back together and you'll be fine, also while you're in there, get a shop vac and vac out the cabinet, stick it on blow and blow all the lint off of the motor and out of the gas tube, then clean out the duct that the lint filter slides into.if your vent line is a long run from the back of the dryer to the outside,i use a leaf blower remove the vent line from the back of the dryer and blow all the lint outside out of the line,do this once a year, you won't have any fires, your clothes will dry on time and your motor and parts will last longer
