Hey. Everytime I connect my MP3 thru the USB cable, it connects and then reconnects. When I turn it on, it shuts down during the "UPDATING PLAYER" mode, then i gotta reset it to turn back on.. But it does the same thing over and over. HeLP LoL

The last time I put music into my mp3 it worked fine. After i disconnected it from the computer and tried to pick songs to play it just shut itself off. I had trouble turning it back on. And when it did it said that it was corrupted and nedded to be repaired. I pushed ok and it did its thing then it erased all my songs and shut itself off again. Now Windows won't even recognize it when I plug it in and it doesn't want to stay on. I've only had it for 9 months and now it's ****. Any ideas?? Thanks TMD

Must do repair first, then firmware upgrade (warning: this will delete all your music).

Make sure you back up all songs on the GoGear before attempting this solution.

1) Back up all files on the GoGear
2) Open up Philips Device Manager (Start --> All Programs --> Philips)
3) Click on the Repair Tab, and look for a msg that says connect the player while holding the volume + button
4) Disconnect the GoGear from the computer and turn the GoGear off - hold in the volume + button and continue to hold it as you reconnect the GoGear to the computer; after holding the volume + button for up to 20 or 30 seconds, a window will open up saying that your device is being repaired (now you can let go of the volume + button); after the repair is successfully complete, your GoGear will be good as new

Now you can do the firmware upgrade that will prevent this problem from occuring in the future. Open up Philips Device Manager and click the Update tab. This problem was caused because most GoGear's were designed for Windows XP with Media Player 10 (which is no longer the latest standard).

You must do a firmware upgrade to resolve this issue.

Open Philips Device Manager (Go to Start--> all Programs--> Philips...), and click on Update tab

OR

You can get it from www.usasupport.philips.com
It will delete all songs off your player, so be forewarned
Enter your model number on the website, click the link on next page that says SA 5125/37 w/o a "b" on the end
Click on Software and drivers tab
Click on firmware upgrade software - instructions enclosed

What happends if ur apple ipod got washed

  1. Dry it off in all places you can find.
  2. Take a hairdryer and dry out all cracks and ports including docking and headphone ports.
  3. Let it sit out and dry for a few days.
  4. If that don't work, I don't know what will.
Hope it works.

Delete songs

plug the mp3 into ur computer with the usb cord then once every thing gits loadedand turned on a window should pop up that has
1.mp3 file (or something like that)(it should have a folder 4 an icon)
2.open windows media player(icon should be a circle with diffrent colors around it with a play sign in the middle)
3.take no action(icon is a red circle with a red line threw it)

pick number 1 witch is mp3 file or the 1 with a folder 4 an icon then when it opens it should have all ur files on it thats on ur mp3 if it dose then click on the 1 that says artist or witch ever 1 has the music that u want 2 delete if it dosent have the files in that folder then ur songs should all be there when u open the folder.i think thats how u do it i know thats how i deleted songs off of my rca h100 mp3 before it turned gay.well good luck i hope it works 4 u.

My mp3 is gay

Try a different USB port, preferably in the back of the PC. If not, try connecting it without the battery. You can still manage the music manually without the battery. You can add to this question if you have more problems. Best of Luck. p.s. - impressed with the usage of hence :0)
