Question about Computers & Internet
You should an anti static strap. It's available at any hardware store. First turn off unit. Unplug the ac adaptor.
Perform the following steps to remove the battery:
1. Make sure the power is off.
2. Turn the unit upside down.
3. Unlock the left battery lock.
4. Push battery lock on right outward to the release the battery.
5. Slide the battery out.
Now's the time for the strap. In lieu of that touch an unpainted metal part of the case and try to maintain contact. If you lose contact just touch again.
To remove the hard disk drive, then perform the following steps:
1. Remove the screws on the hard disk drive cover and carefully open it.
Cover is on the corner. ( 1" x 3")
Pull out the hard disk drive using the plastic tab.
3. Remove the two screws on both sides of the hard disk drive shield.
That's all there is. Easy right? If you don't have an anti static bag wrap it in some bubble wrap to keep it safe.
Just reverse to put in new hard drive. If this helped you please rate a big 4 fix ya. Thanks. If you need more help just add a comment and I'll get right back to you.
