volume limiting is self defeating because of the various volumes from different shows and different section of the shows. so there will not be a volume limiting switch/ mode on your set.

ok maximum volume on the ipod will only work if you change it yourself. if you havent tried this yet, turn on your ipod then select settings then select volume limit and set it to whatever you want. if this doesnt work you can plug in your ipod and open up itunes and change it from there. the way you do this is right click on the song and click get info in the tabs select options and then you can set the volume limit there as well u can aplify the volume or change lower it

May be a defect but, if you notice the sound changes with different channels or movies or HD or Standard, look for a volume limiter control button in the menu setup under audio control. Sometimes the menu has a control that you can turn on to limit different volume levels during the shows origination.

This is usual done by a volume limiter. There are many tvs that have them but if it is not displayed in the sound settings menu I would safely say that the tv does not have this feature.
