Question about Acer Aspire 5100 Notebook
I bought my Acer Aspire 5100 Notebook back in September. It has been a great machine. It runs Vista Home Premium
However, I have had a slight problem for quite some time. Unfortunately, when Power Save Mode is selected from the power profiles, it will freeze after using it for a little while.
I have tried tweaking the power plan, and it didn't work. I uninstalled the Acer Empowering Technology suite as well
I have searched for a while and found no definitive solution to this problem.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I bet it's overheating. get some compressed air and blast out those ducts. Laptops typically accumulate a ton of dust and that can cause the machine to overheat.

Tips for a great answer:
Mine beeps if the charger isn't plugged in completely or connecting completely. It does it persistently if not connected completely and I tap the keyboard (slightest movement) good luck.
