Whirlpool Dryer Dryer was running, I grabbed the lint tray to clean it while it was running... all of a sudden some sort of vacuum kicked in and before I could get the lint tray out, it sucked the lint outside and now, I can't put the lint filter back in where it goes?? It's like some sort of barrier is there now??? I've tried turning it to the off position and everything?? PLEASE HELP !!!

Sound like something fell down theslot, now preventing the filter form going back in. , its a direct chute down to the blower wheel, not to bad to access, youll need to remove the 2 screws on top , and hte n from behind drop back panel and youl seee the channel right ther probaly 5 screws to relaease it and you can look through and retrieve what has fallen. TURN OFF POWER FIRST

My Whirlpool Duet dryer lint screen will not go back in after being cleaned. It sticks out about 1/2 inch more than usual. Please advise.

Something is lodged in the dryer in the way, grab a flashlight and some hot dog tongs and, well, I'm sure you know what comes next.

Whirlpool Clean Touch Model LGL88580000

You can check for suction by pulling out the lint screen and holding a piece of paper over it while the dryer is running. If there is suction then it all works correctly. If there is no suction, then there is a clog somewhere inside. You can clear the clog with a long bottle brush or with an attachment from a vacuum cleaner to get inside. If all looks good and still no lint on the screen, the screen may be too short for the dryer and could be a wrong screen for it.

I have a whirlpool washer/dryer and cannot find out how to clean out the lint under the lint trap. There is quite a bit collected there.

Blow it out with compressed air or buy a spider web brush and put it down there to grab the lint.

We are having to run the dryer several times for med. load to day and I just noticed a slight burning smell. Can this be repaired and at wht possibl cost?

i would guess it is lint that is trapped inside the dryer, you will need to take the cabinet off and clean with a brush and a vacuum:

Where is the lint trap on the front loader

There is no lint trap. There is a coin catcher on the pump. The design of the wash action on a front loader is such there is less lint than on standard machines. One of the bennies of the design.

Whirlpool dryer model #GEW9250PT1 not drying properly

when was the last time you cleaned your dryer?all a dryer does is move air around and if it can't cycle through the dryer the clothes won't dry. unplug the dryer and then you need to clean the duct that the lint filter slides into, vac out the inside of dryer where the motor is and clean out the vent line,if the vent line is a long run from the back of dryer to the outside vent i use a leaf blower to clean it out, make sure the outside vent is clear first then blow it out,if it's a short run vac it out, most problems start just from lint buildup, the clothes don't dry the dryer runs hot and parts start messin up,also vac out under your fridge, take the bottom kick plate off and vac it out,you can kill the compreesor if you don't,good luck

My Whirlpool duet dryers lint screen in the dryer don't seem to catch the lint anymore but, the varmet screen on the hood is clogging all of the sudden. We bought it in August and installed new stove pipe...

OK. to get this working again you want to get the vacuum in where the lint holder is.... then let it run and see if that works but im sure you might have to spend about 10 bucks for a new net
