Yes, bad exit sensor. Go to YouTube and watch this video: 5fJHykzkfww

You can get the part on eBay for about $10 and it's a fairly simple 15 minute fix.

Light is flashing on Resume on my HP Deskjet F2110 All-in-One printer scanner copier. What does that means?

Regular paper, envelopes, or specialty media may get stuck or jammed in the printer. Follow the instructions below to find and remove jammed paper (or other media) from the printer. If the HP All-in-One has a paper jam, first check the rear door. If the jammed paper is not in the rear rollers, check the front door.

Step one: Check for and remove any paper stuck in the paper In tray

  1. Remove all loose paper from the paper In tray.
  2. Press the RESUME button.
    • If the paper jam is cleared, skip to Step Four
    • If the paper is still jammed, continue on to the next step below.
  • If more than one sheet is stuck in the printer, remove the paper, one sheet at a time by taking hold of a sheet in the middle of the stack and, with both hands and firm, even pressure, pull the sheet towards you. Usually, removing one or two sheets from the middle of the stack will release the pressure and the rest of the stack can be removed.
  • After removing the paper, check to make sure no scraps of paper are stuck in the printer.
    • If the paper jam is cleared, skip to Step Four.
    • If the paper is still jammed, continue on to the next section.

  • Step two: Clearing a paper jam from the back of the printer

If the paper jam is not accessible from the In tray, follow the instructions below to clear the paper from the back of the printer.
    1. Unplug the HP All-in-One.
    2. Press in the tab on the left side of the rear door to release the door. Remove the door by pulling it away from the HP All-in-One. Figure 1: Removing the rear door

    b4334db0-9c6c-4a8d-be58-38a7346f3e8c.jpg

    1. Gently pull the paper out of the rollers. caution.png
CAUTION:If the paper tears when removing it from the rollers, check the rollers and wheels for torn pieces of paper that might be remaining inside the device. If all of the pieces of paper are not removed from the HP All-in-One, more paper jams are likely to occur.
    2. Replace the rear door. Gently push the door forward until it snaps into place.
    3. Press Cancel to continue the current job.
      • If the paper jam is cleared, skip to Step Four
      • If the paper is still jammed, continue on to the next section.

Step three: Lift the front cover and slowly remove any jammed paper

    1. Unplug the power cable.
    2. If necessary, pull the input tray down to open it. Then, lower the print cartridge door. Figure 2: Lowering the print cartridge door

    1. Gently pull the paper out of the rollers. caution.png
CAUTION:If the paper tears when while removing it from the rollers, check the rollers and wheels for torn pieces of paper that might be remaining inside the device. If all the pieces of paper are not removed from the HP All-in-One, more paper jams are likely to occur.
    2. Close the print cartridge door.
Figure 3: Closing the print cartridge door

    4b07607d-706b-46d4-8067-d6d9c380a6ec.jpg
    1. Plug the power cable into the HP All-in-One.
    2. Turn the power on.
    3. Press Start Copy Black or Start Copy Color to continue the current job.

Step four: Verify the print cartridge carriage can move freely

    1. Unplug the power cable.
    2. Check to see if the print cartridge carriage can move freely from one side of the printer to the other. If the carriage is to the right and out of plain view, skip to Step Five. Do not try to force it to move if it is hung up on something. [img src="http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf-JAVA/Image/common/note.png" alt="">
NOTE:Be careful not to force the print cartridge carriage. If the carriage is stuck, forcing it to move will damage the printer.
      • If the carriage does not move, continue with the next step below.
  • Remove the print cartridges.
  • Step five: Reload and test the printer

Once the jammed paper is removed, verify that the printer is still functioning properly.
    1. Reload the printer with plain paper.
    2. Perform a self-test by pressing and holding the Resume button until the printer starts printing. A test page should print.
    note.png
NOTE:Do not put more than 35 sheets of plain paper in the document feeder tray.
  • Gently move the print cartridge to the far right of the printer.
  • Remove the paper from the paper In tray, but do not remove the drawer.
  • Remove the rear access door.
  • With your fingers, rotate the rollers "up" three full rotations.
  • Push the rear access door back into the printer until it snaps firmly into place.
  • Replace the print cartridges.
  • Plug the power cable into the HP All-in-One.
  • Turn the power on.

  • Step six: Service the printer

Perform all the steps mentioned above. If the problem continues, service the printer.
Cause Paper jams can be caused by several factors. Follow these guidelines to prevent further paper jams.
    • Insert paper into the paper tray only until it meets resistance. Do not push it farther in.
    • Make sure that the paper is flat in the paper tray and that the guide is adjusted to the width of the paper.
    • Do not add paper while the product is printing.
    • Remove printed pages frequently.
    • Do not use paper that is too thin, too slick, or that stretches.
    • Do not use torn or creased paper. Used paper might cause jams.
    • Make sure that the rear access door is securely fastened.

The printer is not printing receipts and the error indicator is blinking on and off, what is the solution to this?

Flashing (approx. once every second): Out of paper
Flashing (approx. twice every second): Mechanical error (Buzzer sounds once.)
Most likely your paper feed is giving you the error. Remove the current feed, ensure there are no paper jam & insert fresh paper.
    If
Mechanical Error :: Quick blinking Buzzer Sounds continuously for a pprox. 1 second :: Reset the Power
    switch

Paper End Blinks.:: Buzzer Repeats a short 3-time sound twice at intervals of 0.5 second.:: Set a new paper roll.
Paper Near End Blinks.(Once a second) :: buzzer Repeats a short 3-time sound twice at intervals of 0.5 second.:: Set a new paper roll.

Mechanical Error : If the printer mechanism has a greater load due to a paper jam, etc., the buzzer will sound and the SEL/ERROR lamp will blink to stop the printer mechanism.
Paper End : If the printer has run out of paper, the paper sensor in the paper path near the print head will detect the end of the paper roll, turn on the buzzer, and blink the SEL/ERROR lamp to stop the printer mechanism. If the paper is inserted into the paper path, the paper will be loaded.
Paper Near End : If the paper is running out, the paper near end sensor will be activated to turn on
the buzzer and make the SEL/ERROR lamp blink. Even after the paper near end is detected, a command can be used to print by the specified number of lines. (See a description on the command for setting the number of print lines after paper near end detection)
    Finally
Backup Data Clear : When the power is turned on, depending on the SEL switch operation, the
backup data in the input buffer will be cleared according to the flowchart on the next page.
To clear the input buffer, turn on the power while pressing the SEL switch.
The following messages will be printed.
    "Clear Data in Buffer"
    "Cleared Data in Buffer"
To print the data in the input buffer, simply turn the power on.
The following message is printed and the data in the input buffer is printed.
    "Power Down(Data in Buffer)

My cannon IP1900 printer cannot print, it says paper jam, orange light blinks. I need assistance

    Dear Sir,

i am giving u step to solve your problem,

Step 1 Turn your printer off and on to see if it can take out some or all of the jam automatically. If not, turn off the printer and go to the next step.
Step 2 Inspect where the printed paper stops. If the stuck paper is visible and on its way out of the device, try to manually remove it. If you can not pull the rest out easily, then refer to the next steps.
Step 3 Remove any paper trays. Check if any wrinkled or damaged paper is still stuck in the printer. If so, remove any other appliances you can (toner or ink cartridge if necessary) and look for the paper shreds. Make sure nothing has been left in this device.
Step 4 Tidy your blank papers, turn the printer back on and try it again. If the paper jam massage still appears, repeat the above steps. If no paper stuck in your device but the error still persists, well then it’s likely your printer is experiencing another hardware issue: maybe the rollers or some other part need to be adjusted or replaced. Check the printer manual and the manufacturer’s website for directions, or contact your support line for additional assistance.
Things you should take care when manually removing paper
l You should be careful, especially for a laser printer – laser printers can get hot.
l Do not remove your jammed paper from where the blank paper enters the printer, or your device might be damaged easily.
l If you find a piece of jammed paper, pull it out with both your hands carefully so as to keep the paper from tearing. If several sheets of paper jammed together, try to loose the jam by pulling out the middle one first.
l If the paper does tear, you may need to manually rotate the gears that feed the paper through the printer to free the shreds. Don’t force anything.
