Cannot Re-install Windows from Recovery DVD's ACER 5610-4179

Hello
When I try to re-install my operating system with my recovery disks it will always stop at DOTNETFX/ file and won't continue. It is an ACER Aspire 5610-4179 laptop. I was successfully able to install windows xp pro but not xp home. Anything I am missing? Thanks for any help!

- Hi There,My laptop is acer aspire 5610ANWLMi,i try to re-instal the window then everything is ok but only one is left?!the window need 25 product key for active window.

Hello,
Your recovery disks must be scratched or files are corrupted. Since you have successfully installed XP Pro, why not stay with it as it's better than Home?
If you have a restoration partition on your C drive, you may be able to revert to your original configuration from it. And if you insist on XP Home or only have a valid product key for home, you can borrow a disk from anyone who has a good copy.
