Question about Canon imageRUNNER 3300 All-In-One Laser Printer
Hello, we are getting streaked copies and faxes, and they keep getting worse. There is more than enough toner, so we know that isn't the problem. We have had the problem in the past, and had a repairman come out. To avoid a large bill we are curious to know if it's something we can fix on our own. Any feedback at all is grately appreciated. Thanks in advance.
First, do the streaks only appear on copies and faxes made using the document feeder? If yes, the thin strip of glass just left of the large platen probably has has a speck of dirt on it. The speck shows as a streak when the page scans over it. Clean with window cleaner, Viva towels and elbow grease. If you shine a flashlight on the glass its easier to find the specks.
If the streaks appear and you are not using the feeder tray, then call for service.
