Try error reset first by accessing or pressing the service switch and turning on and off the power switch. If same error appears after reset it could be a bad Fuser Lamp, thermal fuse or thermistor.

Printer D880 Cannon System error E000. What will fdix it?

From a fellow FixYa expert, "Press "Additional Functions", press "#", then press the "Right Arrow" button till it says, "Printer", then press "Set" then press the "Right Arrow" button again until it says "Printer Reset" then press "Set" again, the display will ask you "Yes" or "No". Press the "Left" arrow for "Yes", then press "Set". Now, unplug the power cord and wait 5 seconds and plug back in. If this don't work, get a new fuser."
