It's time to find the ECU (engine control unit) it controls the trigger and duration of the injector signal. If you closely evamine the wiring on the injestors you will note a common colour (ie black) and the other may also be black but will have a trace colour on the wire ie black with a thin red / green/ blue etc (TWO COLOUR) stripe to identify its unique signal from ECU. You can chec the output trigger/signal from the ECU to your problen injectors ,, NO signal = No injector opening , change ECU Good luck

What engine do you have? the 3.1 the injectors are all wired togther, so take a test light and check the plugs on all of your inj. use a separate ground to check the hot wires, then use a positive connection to check the ground wires. if you have power to all, it is probably the inj., the 2.0 is the same, the 2.2 or 2.4 may have a different inj system, but you can check the wires the same way. the different system works off of a cam sensor, but if it didnt work no inj would work at all. it then feeds into the ecm (car computer). but i bet its either a wire issue or a couple of bad inj.

I'm getting fuel to injectors or fuel injection box but it stops there doesn't go any further it is a 1990 VW Cabriolet any ideas? tks

VOLKSWAGENS THE 1990 MODELS HAS CIS - E FUEL INJECTION. THE FUEL INJECTORS CONTROLLED BY AIR FLOW SENSOR PLATE REST POSITION INCORRECT. INSPECT AIR FLOW SENSOR PLATE REST POSITION. LOW FUEL PRESURE FROM WEAK PUMP WILL CAUSE FUEL INJECTORS NOT TO WORK.

1990 Dodge Shadow cranks strong but wont turn over. Could it be the fuel pump relay. Doesn't seem to be a injector. Any advice

Yes the possibility in such cases can be the fuel or the spark . So if you think there is a stench of the fuel supply then the fuel pump must be checked out , if a calibration is done to confirm the fuel pressure.
Also once the fuel system is cleared the spark intensity must checked, check for HT coil , wires and plugs to be working in good order.

Cpi unit is not working right what should i do

purchase a "noid" fuel injector tester from an auto parts store; it is a small light attached to a fuel injector plug unplug an injector from the wiring harness and plug in the "noid" to the injector harness connector you just removed; start the engine: if the "noid" flashes when you crank the engine you will know that that fuel injector has power to it, then: use the "noid" to check each injector in turn. if the injectors are good test the fuel pressure with a fuel pressure gauge; low pressure suspect a bad fuel filter.

Check for any wiring pinch which might have occurred when the injector was replaced. The injector is driven directly by the computer, so it seems to point at the new computer as being faulty. (pulse signal is always 'on')

My 1990 Chevy Celebrity wagon 3.1 multiport fuel injection is getting fuel to the rack at 45psi, but is not going through the injectors. Any idea the probable cause?

DO YOU HAVE 12 VOLTS ON INJECTOR WIRE ON ONE SIDE WITH KEY ON? IF SO ARE YOU GETTING SPARK? IF YOU HAVE NEITHER YOU MAY NEED A NEW CRANK SENSOR. VERY COMMON ON THIS ENGINE WHEN THERE IS A LOSS OF SPARK AND INJECTOR PULSE. INJECTOR PULSE(GROUND SIDE)IS CONTROLLED BY THE COMPUTER. IF YOU HAVE SPARK BUT NO INJECTOR PULSE AND 12 VOLTS ON INJECTOR FEED WIRE YOU MAY HAVE A FAUTY ECM(ENGINE COMPUTER)
