FANTASTIC!! Thank you so much!! It worked. I did have to use a screw driver to gently lift up the rollers. It seems the rollers weren't lifting up so the try wouldn't come out.

Great, worked for me also. Now if the hot shot designers at Brother can come up with a simple fix for this design shortfall we'd all be better off.

Paper Tray was stuck, and followed directions by Mix-It-Up about removing the paper jam backing piece, then played with paper roller, up and down, until the tray released. The real problem however, which caused the jam, was lack of light lubrication on sides of tray, etc. I put on very light coating of wd 40 and now the tray goes in and out very smoothly.

Dell 966 aio printer....paper jam and I cannot release paper from roller. Is there a way to release roller?

Have you read the Manual on paper removal? It mentions a rear panel that can be removed. That might free up the rollers:

1. Remove the paper tray.
2. Pull firmly on the paper to remove it.
3. Replace the paper tray.
4. Press the Select button .
5. Resend your print job to print any missing pages.
If the paper jam is not visible:
1. Turn off the printer.
2. Lift the printer unit.
3. Firmly grasp the paper, and gently pull it from the printer.
4. Close the printer unit.
5. Turn on the printer, and print the document again.
If the jam is located in the duplex unit or near the rear access door:
1. If you have a duplex unit, remove it.
2. Open the rear access door.
3. Firmly grasp the paper, and gently pull it from the printer.
4. Close the rear access door.
5. Re-install the duplex unit.
6. Press the Select button to continue printing.
If the paper jam occurs near the ADF:
1. Lift the ADF cover located to the left of the ADF input tray.
2. Firmly grasp the paper, and then gently pull it from the printer.
3. Close the ADF cover.
4. Press the Select button .

How do I align the head on my Model-PIXMA MP 970 Canon Printer?

In short, while the printer is On, press the Home button on the printer, use the up-down button to scroll down the menu and locate "Settings", again scroll down and locate "Maintenance", press "Ok" and locate "Auto Head Align" and press "Ok", again press "yes" when you see a confirmation message on the screen. The alignment page will print out. Make sure there's paper in the tray (not in the adf) before performing this.
The long procedure is given below (if in case you need it):
Press and release the On/Off to turn the power on. Open the sheet feed cover on the rear paper tray. Pull out the paper support until it stops at its fully extended position.
  1. Open the paper output tray. Flip the paper output tray extension out. Load a sheet of letter-sized plain paper in the rear tray. Slide the paper guide to the right until it is snug against the left side of the paper.
  2. Press and release the Home button on the control panel. The Home screen will be displayed on the LCD panel. Press the Up or Down Arrow button to scroll through the menu. Select the Settings option. Press and release the OK button. Select the Maintenance option. Press and release the OK button. Select the Auto head align option. Press and release the OK button.
  3. Wait for the confirmation screen to be displayed on the LCD panel. Select the Yes option. Press and release the OK button. Wait for the printer to automatically align the print head and print the alignment sheet. This process should take approximately 4 minutes.

Let me know if you need further help.
Good Luck.
Thanks for using FixYa.

Paper jam printer 3524

Clear the jammed paper as follows.

If the jammed paper is removed completely by using the information in the following steps, you can install the paper tray first, and then close the front cover and the printer will resume printing automatically.

If the printer does not start printing automatically, press the Go button. If the printer still does not start printing, please check that all the remaining jammed paper has been removed from the printer. Then try printing again.

Pull the paper tray completely out of the printer.

Pull the jammed paper up and out of the printer.

Press the cover release button and then open the front cover.

Pull out the drum unit assembly. Pull the jammed paper up and out of the printer. If you cannot remove the drum unit assembly easily at this time, do not use extra force. Instead, pull the edge of the jammed paper from the paper tray. If the jammed paper can not be pulled out easily, turn the jam dial towards you as you gently pull the paper out.

Open the face-up output tray. Pull the jammed paper out of the fuser unit. If the paper jam can be cleared, go to Step 7.

Open the jam clear cover. Pull the jammed paper out of the fuser unit.

Close the jam clear cover. Close the face-up output tray. If the paper jam still cannot be cleared, for HL-5130 and HL-5140 users go to Step 10, and for all other users go to the next step.

Pull the Duplex Tray completly out of the printer.

Pull the jammed paper out of the printer or the Duplex tray. Put the Duplex tray back into the printer.

Push the lock lever down and take the toner cartridge out of the drum unit assembly. Take out the jammed paper if there is any inside the drum unit.
Put the toner cartridge into the drum unit until you hear it lock into place. If you put it in properly, the lock lever will lift automatically.

Hello, Our machine clicks when attempting to pull

The paper is not feeding from the paper tray. The loud click is alarming, but not the problem. Check the adjustments in the paper tray. The left and right guides should be snug, but the rear guide should give between a 1/16 inch and a 1/8 inch of free play. If the rear guide is tight, that is the problem. You can check for this by depressing the lever on the right front of the tray. Depressing the lever should raise the stack of paper out of the tray so that it can slide forward.

If you remove the paper from the tray, but will see calibration marks for the paper size you are using. Unlock the read paper guide n the tray, squeeze the release and move the guide ot the mark for the size paper you are using. For example, it you are using letter size paper, the read guide should point to "LTR".

Original xbox will not open

There may be a problem with the belt or gears that push and pull on the disc tray.

Here is a manual solution to fixing the problem when all else fails.

a. Unplug your Xbox console from the power source. b. Locate the manual release button on your Xbox console.

For most Xbox consoles, the manual release button is located in a small pinhole to the left of the eject button under the disc tray.

For some Xbox consoles, the manual release button is located under the disc tray. It can be under the "O" or the "B" in the word "XBOX" that appears on the tray. c. Insert a straightened paper clip or other small tool in the hole at an angle to the left. Gently push the paper clip to try to press the manual release button and partially open the disc tray. This may take several tries. Typically, a thin paper clip works better than a thick paper clip.

If you insert the paperclip in the hole and find an obstacle, this indicates that your Xbox console's manual release button is located in a different area of the console. Look under the "O" or the "B" in the word "XBOX" that appears on the tray. If this is the case, insert the paperclip under the "O" as outlined in step C. If you find an obstacle, insert the paperclip under the letter "B”. The manual release button is located in one of these three locations. d. After the disc tray partially opens, pull the tray with your fingers to fully open the tray.

If even after all of that it still doesn't work you will have to contact microsoft and have it serviced
